I can see the logic with the Boro fans post, but also feel like he has lost the will. He is also still suffering from their recent relegation and is jealous of the lowly prem sides he mentions (plus wba)

With regards to our own plight. Why shouldn't we want to go up? So what if we go up and get beat by the better sides, the real challenge will be against the other 15 sides, so in essence there are 30 games to go for instead of 38....still if you have the right belief and work rate coupled with some decent signings and some luck you might win one of the big 8 games and even draw a couple....

I can see his point but its a bit ott imo

I think you miss the point, my preference would be to see us play in a competitive league which KO's at 3pm on a Saturday. The PL used to be like that when we were last in it you could go to OT or Anfield and fancy yourselves to get a result that doesn't happen any more. This may come as a surprise to you but the thought of seeing world class players in the Predicatbleship doesn't really excite me.

Like anyone I would love to see us in the PL but when the euphoria dies down you'll find it is missing something which the CCC has and a part of you will want that back.

I know Everton, Tottenham & Chelsea fans who have turnt their backs on the PL, a couple of those supporters have even started following lower league football.

I'm hoping there is a shift in power this season with a couple of teams being replaced in Top 4, maybe that will shake things up but then again it will probably become 'The Big 6'. The likes of Liverpool and Arsenal if forced out of the Top 4 may then start maaking some noise about how they can't survive without CL football and the next thing you know we are one step closer to a European League.

The PL as it is doesn't really concern me, I have watch a handful of live games in the past few years on the TV if that confirms my interest in it to you. The Boro fan in the original article echos my sentiments I want to see a level playing field where provincial clubs stand a chance of winning something

A lot of people say SKY is responsible but I think they have been good for the game in many respects, I point the finger of blame more so at UEFA and their complete restructuring of European Competitions.

Oh and one final note: I don't look at it as paying PL prices, I look at as what it costs to get a club our size to the PL, 13k a week and £400 STs finacially does not work my friend.
