I think, I don't like to see good players replaced, thats all.
We can all point to mistakes made by Connolly, Gorkss, hall and Stewart this season, but I'm hard pressed to find one from Borrowdale.
When/if he does we will all know it
but competition for places and letting players know they are not nailed on 1st picks is a good thing surely.
Also having 2 different types of fullback has got to be a bonus as well.
personally i think we have stepped backwards......we are back to Jm not knowing his best team......he fooled us for a while thinking he had...but he is changing things round again and it's costing us.

Very Good Point Pete , I cant remember him doing naything of major note and on Saturday vs Coventry i was extremely impressed with him . Remember saying in about the 70th minute when he sliced a ball into SA road thats the first thing he had done rong the whole game , he was very solid saturday and has been in most of his games , I hope He stays LB untill we find a better alternative cos by the sounds of it williams isnt better than him
Davman, nothing to do with it. Faurlin was originally spotted by Gianni, so he does have an eye for a player (well sometimes)
In all seriousness, thats not the reason why I am defending Borrowdale. Like you, I have watched the games and put simply he has been Mr Consistent, I thought he played really well on Saturday and not for the first time was solid at the back. in reverse of your reasoning, I would say the very reason why he gets unwarranted stick is because of the way it was perceived he came to the club. You have to separate that and make a judgement and in all fairness cannot understand why he gets the stick.
Hang on!
We were told Faurlin was spotted by Gorman and he and Madge had their eyes on him when they were at Ipswich!!!
What's the story here?
NB - Despite Williams first start at Doncaster being substandard, it was still a far better performance than Borrowdale turned in against Peterborough, Bristol City, Blackpool andLeicester
Borrowdale not good enough. Simples.
Williams not good enough but offers more than Borrowdale. Simples.
NB - Did GP "spot" Tchakounte and Oliseh too? How much "talent" does it take to put in a call to Base Soccer and say I need a left back?
I think a lot of people here are having their judgement clouded by the politics of his arrival and his selection when he first arrived.
There is only one way to judge a player and that is his performance on the pitch and from what I have seen this season, he hasn't done much wrong, he might not be the best full back in this division, but he is far from being the worst.
All the time he wears the shirt, he'll get nothing but support from me.
Borrowdale is a poor player.
His positional sense is utter cr ap!
For this reason you can't play buzz left mid because he can't track back very well and when he does he normally fouls and gives away a free kick.
Borrowdale is very average and if you look at decent sides like west brom who have good SKILLFUL attacking fullbacks you can see where we are lacking. He also balls watches and is not good enough
Never met Pete, but have to agree with him here. Borrrowdale looks reasonably solid to me, and he is more than welcome in the starting X1 unless we have a proven better option.
I went to Donny and Williams was not good, but too early to judge.
Whilst they may not be your favourite player, there are still too many who #### off Ramage & Borrowdale at every opportunity.
