  • Is 4 goals from 39 shots good enough..

...especially when you don't win tackles?

Adel Taraabt has scored 4 goals from 39 shots this season. To put that into context Chopra has 11 goals from 34 shots, Whittingham has 11 from 36 and Henderson has 10 from 39.

Should we be expecting a better return from that amount of shots at goal?

i think if he could shoot he would still be at Spurs

Its not good enough and is why he should play on the left, swapping with Routledge who is just as hopeless as Tarabbt in front of goal. Buzz, Vine or whoever should support Simpson. He scores more from the left hand side as well.

That means he's going to need to shoot about 160 times.

BOTH are a problem, but your insistance that we dont need a quality striker for the past 2 years is really getting beyond a joke at this stage.WHAT about these games this season where we had no plan B,nobody to come on to either win the game for us or salvage a draw....Donny,Palace,Leicester,Swansea,Posh,Forest ,Bristol,Plymouth and Blackpool?????

People's persistence with saying goalscoring is the problem is beyond me and I do give up. Its conceding goals that is our problem.

Okay, we can single out one game, but realistically in other games we've converted 4 chances and had less shots than we did in the Coventry game.
I've never said that conceding isn't a problem. But how come we have had 61 shots on goal more than Cardiff but have scored 3 goals fewer?

We can debate about our defensive problems to the cows come home and I am more than happy to do so but we also have offensive problems as well.

We shouldn't have had more shots than anyone else in the league and have not scored the most. If we are creating so many chances that we shoot more than anyone else why aren't we converting those chances?? We haven't just not won matches or drawn them because of goals conceded but also because we haven't scored either. We failed to score against Doncaster, Swansea and Bristol City. Yes, if we hadn't of conceded we may have drawn those matches but we still wouldn't have won them without scoring.

No not good enough....but being worth the admission fee alone, doing things other players in this league can only dream of, getting assists for goals IS.

He's only got 1 assist this season.

Yeah and for that pleasure of having a very skilful showboat, playing out of position, we are probably 10-12 points fewer than we would have, if we had a goal-scorer who focused on putting the ball in the net.

He is a great player but you need to remember you get points by scoring goals and winning games, not for doing step overs and making players look like fools.

Weve been crying out for a natural finisher for how long now??...No it isnt good enough, we should have scored more...

But then again we have scored something like the 3rd most goals in the league, so makes you question the defence, imo they should be doing a much better job tha they currently are!! Were leaking to many goals at crucial times.

Think you have to consider that most of those shots have probably been from distance; Chopra's are probably mainly in the six yard box. He is shooting from range partly, I concede, out of selfishness but also because most of the time there is no one in the box to aim at.

We would score more if Taraabt passed more in the final third, there were players in better positions on sat when Taraabt decided to shoot

Without Tarrabt, we wouldn't even get the chances. Most of the time, he makes them himself.

Sirpie, you forgot the two penalties he has also won for us and the number of free-kicks
