  • Should We Drop A Player..After One Bad Game?

It seems this happening with us alot this season?

Last week, I would imagine the club managemnet must have felt Gorkss had a bad game to drop him this week, and you can add Williams and Reid to that list.

How about not chopping and changing the same 11, even though we might lose a game and stick to the belief of your players abilities. Very rarely will you get 11 players playing to their maximum, but on Saturdays game, I'm guessing Buzsacky could be dropped next week, because he had one bad game.
I say start with the same 11 against Middlesborough now and means starting with Hall. Too much knee jerk reaction to a defeat, we will never get consistency with chopping and changing.

I disagree, Gorkss is 5 times the player Hall is. Also Buz has had a few bad games now, not sure who I would bring in though

Before Doncaster Gorkks was MOM vs Sheff Wednesday. Gorkss is 10 times better than Hall. But it has been clear from day 1 that Jim has a "thing" for Hall. Buzsaky needs a kick up his backside...like he got after the Accrington game. Cook and Balanta should be challenging him soon, and I think that will make Akos sharper

Gorkks shouldnt have been dropped, hindsight is a wonderful thing, but as others have said we all knew before that game kicked off yesterday that Kaspers gorkks should have been in that starting 11 instead of Hall....

Reid should never have come on for taarabt, imo agyemang should have come on to join simpson in a 442 or in place of simpson who was knackerd.
Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...

Well Williams only played against Donny because Borrowdale was injured add that to the fact he apparently played poorly then yes Borrowdale should have started.

Taarabt was apparently only dropped for turning up late and again Reid didn't set the world alight according to reports so yes he should have been dropped for Taarabt.

As for Gorkks, I don't know? Maybe JM thinks Hall is first choice so if he is fit then he plays!

I agree with keeping a settled side, knee-jerk reactions to one poor game etc...

But before the game yesterday.... you were calling for Tommy Williams to be dropped after one game. His debut.
The last 3 games = 3 different left backs. Ramage was left back at Hillsborough, and we won. Why was he dropped?

Is it only certain players that must be stuck with, and given some time to settle in?

We will not go up with Magilton being the tinkerman, although the football he has us playing is breathtaking at times.

The tinkering is my main concern. We are playing great football but he has to realise you don't squad rotate in the Championship.

In answer to your question - YES!

Now will Cerny be dropped? No

Looks like a man who is 100% sure of his place no matter what.

I cannot understand why Gorkss was dropped. The only thing I can think of was that he wasn't 100% fit, or that he had trained really badly. He has proven time and time again thathe is our best centre-back, along with Connolly (who still looks rusty). Get them both picked and get them playing every game.

Buzz wasn't that bad, just that he wasn't amazing.

I thought Legs in the 2nd half was awesome.
