Am in Spain for work so have not had much chance to look at the site this week. When I do its the same old, same old really; lots of people being fairly abusive to Pete which I never really understand when its his site and he follows the team to more hell holes than a lot of us (myself included some of the time).
But I was also frustrated by some of Peteīs answers. He said himelf after we went two goals down on Sat and Agypants and Pellicori came on that he knew then he might as well have gone home, because as every Rangers fan knows there is no way they will turn a game. Iīm not sure the reason we lost on Saturday was lack of another striker (no guarantee he alone wd have scored two or three goals). Seems to me the prob was probably even more the midfield and to some extent the defence. The striker issue is a debate that flares up every time we have a bad match, regardless of whether the forward line was the problem. That said it is completely baffling to me how it is apparently possible to bring in a midfielder such as Reid before the loan window closes, but not a striker. If we really are sniffing around Macheda or Wellbeck, is there a particular reason why they will be available for loan in Jan but not now? If Best is nailed on, canīt we come to an agreement with Coventry now? And Iīm also baffled by why we canīt accomodate two strikers. Magilton can just say that only two of Buz, Routledge and Taraabt can play and it is up to each one to keep his place. Or Simpson must be cream crackered playing up front on his own once or twice a week, perhaps some matches we cd play same formation but different players and he cd come off the subs bench. The point is you need options and variety. At the moment we have become totally predictable. Other teams know what to expect and we cannot counter that. We are growing frustrated and losing confidence. It is a vicious circle, and obvious to everyone.
I would be interested if anyone cd honestly tell me that any of this is wrong. Thanks.
