How many games have you seen Buz play in the centre for us?
Name them!
Rubbish you don't have to play as winger to play RM or LM also Buz has turn of pace and he doesn't require constant support. Players of Buzsakys ability create space for themselves and those around them, his abilty to create something out of nothing totally contradicts your point.
Buzsaky at times has been very effective for us out wide.
I agree and when you analyse like this yes it does make sense that it could work. Faurlin can do the holding role no question asked IMO and he is a better player than Watson. Buzsaky is also far more combative than what people give him credit for, is strong and also wins his fair share of headers.
To simply sit him behind the front 2 or loan striker would make him too much of a luxury epsecially in this division. The only way Buzsaky could trully control a game is if he is playing as a proper centre midfielder box to box but in a slightly more advanced role to his CM partner. We have never seen him play in this position though we know he has the ability but I just can't help thinking there is a reason why he doesn't.....not one manager for us has played him there!

absolute bundles of midfielders, then there's the "forward" Simpson, you trying to tell me our squad isn't unbalanced?
if you read sirpie's statistics on shots on target & goals scored ratio you might change your mind (that's if your allowed too) as he deals in FACTS midfielders playing up top are not as good as natural forwards....FACT

Why can't people on here differentiate between a winger and someone playing on the LHS or RHS of midfield....am I the only person who understands the difference? Its down to tactics, when Buzsaky plays wide he isn't expected to skin a man like Routledge and whip in crosses at every oppurtunity like Cook.

More of a Beckham than a Lennon.

True wingers are an entity all of their own - theyre neither a midfielder nor a striker. Dave Thomas, Peter Barnes, Gordon Hill, from yesteryear. Routledge, Lennon, Ronaldo from today
As W12 rightly says, playing right or left midfield is a completely different ball game.

So I agree with what you are saying but Rafa only has himself to blame.

Magilton has had to bring in loanee after loanee to try and make it his team and do the best he can we what he has.

PS: Thanks for the great stat you pm'd me.

Paul I agree.
Moving Buzz behind Simpson would make alot of sense.
He would also score more goals in that position and it would suit him to have a free role, ie. no responsibiltysI played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

There has to be very good reason why that is the case De Canio, Dowie and Magilton all have played him out wide.
It's pure speculation to suggest he would adapt to a free role, personally I think Taarabt is more suited as he does what he wants anyway.
Buzzacky is not playing well because the midfield is not functioning at all all to often he is receiving the ball in an isolated position. When Mahon and Faurlin were playing in the middle it functioned and Buzz and Faurlin interacted very well.
We have a major problem at the moment in that the balance is all wrong and it seems to be so to accomidate Watson who apart from the first coiuple of games alongside Rowlands has been utter toilet and vastly overhyped.

On Buzz, there's some interesting comments on all sides and I really don't know who to agree with. One thing that hasn't been mentioned is the fact he missed a lot of game time last season - he has come back well and looks back to fitness but many players report an incomprehensible fatigue in the season after a long lay off - and maybe, just maybe this is affecting his game more than we know?#standuptocancer
