please answer the question WITHOUT reference to goals scored or strikers we may or may not need.

our defence is good but if u keep playing our football in our own half we will make mistakes which we have,i said the strikers are the weak link cos we got 1 decent striker and hes simpson who is small ,thats why we never look for him from goal kicks and we fool around at the back trying to work it through to simpson

End of the day Legiterwood is not a right back, we should have got a Gunter type player that went to Forest.

Ramage is not as bad as people make out.

Borrowdale is steady eddie and didn't deserved to be dropped not for Williams anyway. Okay, if a prem left back comes in fair enough.

Stewart and Hall have contributed to defeats this season and we don't have back up for Gorkss and Connolly.

If anyone thinks our front 4 of Routledge, Buzsacky , Tarrabt and Simpson is weaker than what the majority of our defence has been this season, then I suggest those supporters are slightly confused

Above all, would like to know the how many games the same back 4 have played together, I suggest its not many.

so, by your reckoning, a back four of Borrowdale, Gorkks, Connolly and Ramage/Legs is good enough, it's just backup for when they inevitably injured that we need?

After 17 matches last season Wolves were top and had actually conceded 5 more than we have this season. The difference is that they had scored 10 more than we have.

Wolves had the worst defence of the top 12 teams last season but with the exception of Reading they had scored 14 or more than every other team in the league.

This in itself shows that a leaky defence doesn't matter if you score goals. Last season we conceded 8 fewer than Wolves but scored 38 fewer. Our leaky defence this season wouldn't matter if we scored more goals than we have. We conceded 2 goals against both Barnsley and Derby but it didn't matter because we scored more than they did. Our problem is that we've scored very few goals in the other 13 matches in which we didn't score 4 or more.
