Pete but your saying that helgusson should be brought back? Football isn't that simple. Just because he scores goals for watfor doesn't mean he'll score goals for us if we kept him. His heart is in watford not here and his performances show it.
You are also prone to massive exagerationN mahon being best mid by country mile. Come on. He's been good but faurlin and watso were key in those games.

Also 29 goals does not nevessarily mean we don't need a striker

Anyway, I think answer is simple. We're at our best on large pitches. Small pitches make us easier to stop.

We need to be able to mix it up. We can't. It's really that simple.

We've got Simpson who I'm very happy with, but Players like Routledge and Taarabt aren't enough. They are both great options who'd walk into any CCC team, but that doesn't mean they warrent a start every time as for me, Buzz is just as vital. We need to be able to do the 4-4-2. We need a strong arial threat. Like Hulse or Best. I still can't believe you've not digested my post from yesterday within' this thread Pete. I tried to break it down and explain, but you've missed my point yet again mate. I just don't understand how you feel that you, and only you are correct in saying we don't need to strengthen?!

Bennyboys, i know Pete's your buddy, but come on do you really think someone is as stupid as Pete makes out he is!!

it's not only your post he's ignored, if you read the threads properly you will find there's quit a few he as ignored all basically putting him right, that's why he ignores them & then he normally starts a new thread, basically he can't admit when he's wrong which i must admit is becoming quit frequently, don't let it get you down as I'm sure it isn't personal, he's just being a bit pigheaded

I said this a few weeks ago and it is so so true!
When we pack the midfield it causes us huge problems.
We must have the smallest pitch in the division and we have come unstuck with lack of space. You look at the palace and Leicester game and they just played high up the pitch and pressed. This gave all our flair players no time and more importantly space to hurt the opposition. 4 4 2 at home is a must and it will free up some space in what is a congested midfield with players treading on each others toe's. I would bring Helguson back as we don't have anyone better to merit leaving him a watford. Even if he doesn't score he can at least free up some space in the middle and give Simpson much needed support. All this we are in the top 6 cr ap is pointless. This division is so tight that if we lose our next 2 homes games we will be bottom half. It might sound negative but it is a huge issue that needs to be addressed. Pete is also a fruit cake that just wants a response. It is time to ignore him!

I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I could go on, but the main point is do you thknk the club are influenced by some supporters, who invariably have to eat those words at a later date?
Have you not used that exact phrase yourself about Helgusson??
                Honest answer.

                To answer the original question:
I'd like to think, and hope, that the club are not influenced by opinions on messageboards.
The general atmosphere/feeling in the ground? - yes.
The managers wishes to replace players, or provide cover for positions? - yes.

                Web Messageboards? - they bl00dy well shouldn't.

The sousa thread on here hit x thousand unique people reading it..the club can gauge more opinion on certain things from here then they'd ever do elsewhere imho

Not saying they don't get influenced by these message boards... but they shouldn't.
                    Especially team selection.

Magilton is manager of that team, and should stick to what he believes. Only Gormans opinion should carry weight.
No matter what the owners or web-fans think. Including me, you - everyone.

Complaints/opinions about the stadium, customer service etc... that's different.

I also forecast, that even though Routledge missed a couple of sitters against Palace, he will score 5 more goals by the end of the year and maybe more.

I'll keep that one on record and come back to it.

for me routledge isnt prolific enough to be a striker. 5 goals by the end of the season playing as a striker isnt good enough return really... think you will agree pete.

                          end of this year

Routledge will score goals, he gets himself into good positions. I wish that Magilton doesn;t tinker with him too much and keep him alongside Simpson, especially at home.

Of course he will agree, you made it easy for him by not reading the post - 5 by the end of the year is what he wrote!!
