I stayed at my sisters in Sheffield so only got back this afternoon. haven't had much chance to read comments on here but will say that if games were won by how many sideways passes are made we would have won easily yesterday.....
First half I thought we shaded withot making any real chances. Second half Doncaster wanted it more and worked harder when they DIDN'T have the ball. That was the difference. Add in a simply worked corner leading to goal number 1 & it was game over.
I appreciate we needed to make the midfield competitive yesterday but surely a 3-5-2 would have worked better than a 4-5-1? Simpson was all on his own and Buzsaky offered little, if anything going forward.
One positive was Watson who played quite well. What the hell was Tommy Williams thinking with his continuous efforts to hit our 6 ft plus target man in the first half at every opportunity...? Tommy, Simpson is not a target man, keep the ball on the floor next time!
