Come back Gary Borrowdale...all is forgiven!!! Williams had the worst debut (3rd debut if you like) since god knows when...Bob Malcolm maybe!!
Nearly everyone was poor saturday, Gorkks and connolly were terrible in the second half, Buz didnt get involved, Watson was shocking IMO, Reid well he isn't fit to be fair to him. Legs should not be Captain, no inspiration whatsoever, not once did I see him gee the players up.
The worst thing about the performance was the lack of effort, they didnt seem to care that Doncaster were taking the biscuit when they put 30+ passes together, not one challenge in that time...disgraceful!

We were abysmal end of - but the continual slating of players and manager etc is quite frankly pathetic.

Manager I agree, however it sounds like the players need a kick up the bum.
I can forgive the result but by the sounds of it the main concerns were lack of effort by the players. Tarrabt needs to get his act together. He is paid plenty of money to at least sort out his time keeping. Jim was right to drop him and it tells the other players that lateness is not acceptable and no 1 player is more important than the team. Tarrabt is a talented individual but I think his attitude has had an effect on his career and hence why he is playing in the championship.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Have to say, I'm amazed at all these posts slagging off Magilton for "changing a winning team".

I assume they mean the winning team at Sheffield, in our most recent game?

                    Mahon started in that game.
Fitz Hall started in that game.
Ramage was emergency left back, because Borrowdale was ill (and still is).

......Still think Magilton should have picked an unchanged team???

Obviously couldn't pick an unchanged team - but there was no reason to change the formation so much. One up front was madness and the Official site report must think we are mugs if they want to stick with the 3 up front comment!
Clearly, Reid, Watson and Faullin playing together does not work, it left us too short going forward, which is why we played so many passes across the defense and back to Cerny. It doesn't help that Buzz had such a stinker either - and if it's true that Adel is going back in January we are in for a tough second half season.

I still can't believe the way the side was set up - clear message as we sat in the stand looking at the team = we are hear not to lose.
Sorry Jim, it was a poor decision.

I thought we were poor at Donny last season and couldn't see us putting in the same sort of shift again but in truth Saturday was worse than last time!!

Not saying the team was right, but the changes were enforced from a winning team last time out.
And before the game, I didn't think it was a bad side to pick. But it just didn't work in hindsight.

The biggest problem was too many players gave the ball away, a few didn't seem to fancy it, and Simpson was just far too isolated.

That would be my main gripe against Magilton.

I am not sure why Reid just walked into the side. Faurlin and Watson should have started in the centre. How are they supposed to form an understanding between themselves? I don't think Reid will be staying all season, but there is a realistic chance that Watson will, in which case, with Mahon and Rowlands out, they will be required to play in CM together.

The only change I would have made from the Sheff Weds game would have been Williams at left back because Ramage is not a left back.

I might have considered playing a 4-4-2 formation, but seeing as how Agyemang and Pellicori don't look good enough, I guess Magilton had little choice but to stick to his 4-5-1.

I'm not sure why Taarabt didn't start (missed the bus, late night etc) but to be honest, he should still have started. Magilton doesn't have the forwards to drop him for a 4-4-2. Although if he was going to drop him, perhaps Ephraim or Alberti should have started in his place on the left.

One final note. The poor performance - especially as JM says, the last half hour, clearly demonstrates the fact that QPR need new strikers. Agyemang and Pellicori were on for this period and by all accounts, were dreadful.

Gavin Mahon and Fitz Hall started at Sheffield.

Agree about your final point. The work load and expectations placed on Simpson are becoming ridiculous now. Needs help.

the trouble is, as been all season we do not have any decent goal scorers and should of been addressed before the season began, simpson is doing fine but is only a loanee, we get rid of our top scorer , the rest are useless as their goal ratio shows throughout their careers tango man sticks his nose in team matters all the time but any fool can see we are very weak up front and the performance was poor saturday just hope its a slight blipp, but when we took simpson off who was going to score goals up top not e-coli thats for sure do not know why he's even in the squad he'd be better putting sterling in
