I'd be happier loaning him for the remainder of the season. He's got the ability and potential to be a good Premiership player. He was brilliant for Wigan last season, so to write him off is ridiculous.

He's been unsettled through silly suspensions and still managed to show glimpses of his expectations.

It would be a bad idea to give up on him.

I could be wrong, but that one booking away from another ban, seems to be playing on his mind.

Also, watch that 2nd goal again and whilst it was not his fault the goal, I could run back quicker and I'm fat and 41 !!

Benefit of the doubt for me. He's proved himself beyond this level.

Like I say, it would be a shame to write him off.

If it's a choice between him and Reid, yes.

If it's a choice between him and Steven Hawking, it's the Hawkster.

If it was a choice, I'd have Reid based on what I know he's capable of. I've been a huge fan since his 'Wall days. Quality player who knows how to strike a ball. He's very good at dictating the tempo and capable of making powerful runs through the center of the park. Good in the air, great range of passing and solid in the tackle.

i think we should decide at the end of the season . I watched a few Wigan games to see what we missed and thought he always did ok for them and was surprised we got him TBH

Pete you are not fat, your just big boned!
I would try and see if Wigan would be happy to allow us a loan till the end of the season.
He is a decent player but for whatever reason and yes suspensions have not helped but I don't think he is playing to the level that he can play at. He is a decent player but his form has been poor. The midfield doesn't really worry me although I do feel we lack a leader in that position. I think Faurlin seems to be the best option as a holding midfielder as watson clearly likes to bomb forward and I don't think he would have the disipline to just sit. We do need to sort out this striker mess. For me I would bring Helguson back! I think leon best would be a good signing and add some attacking threat in the air and is also good when the ball is at his feet. Helguson is suited by watfords style but he is a great option to try and change things when they are not working and would give much needed support for Simpson who he could play off him. Passing is great but in bad conditions we will need a big man to hold up the ball. At this moment Helguson is the only man for that job until added additions.

I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Buy him. Now! Quality player. Could see he was head and shoulders above the vast majority of the team in his first few games for us. Performances have tailed off since the sendings off but will return.

We have played much better football in the games where he has not played, that says it all for me.

He played great alongside Rowly. Losing him and the bookings have affected his form of late, but thats temporary, class is permanent.
