I think we need to see a bit more from him before parting with that kind of money!

Not from what we have seen so far
      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
      And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

In a word - NO.His confidence seems shattered by 2 avoidable red cards.Would rather put the money towards a decent striker.

He is one for the future. BUY HIM. And make him captain.

Think we should buy, looked better when playing with Rowly. If you look at our midfield recently there has been to many changes game to game we need to get a settled pairing.Think he would be better if he was our player and knew where his future was at.

From what I saw of him against Barnsley - definitely yes.
He is a class player going through an uncertain patch. The consecutive red cards are playing on his mind I'm sure.

Lots of other clubs in the Championship rate him (looking at rival MBs) which says a lot.

Not for £2.5m but definitely think we should buy him and Reid.

We need strength in depth and sadly I think we've seen the end of Rowlands because even if he does return we will have strengthened to the point that he'll be down the pecking order and won't get a look in.

If we could turn Watson and Reid into permanent signings we would have Watson, Reid, Faurlin and Mahon all fighting for two places which would be fantastic competiton and provide us with great cover in case of injuries and suspensions.

If it were a straight choice between spending money on him or a new striker than the striker is definitely a priority.

2.5 million is alot of money!!! IMO from what we have seen so far he isnt worth that much, in saying that i think he is good and can improve, id like us to buy him, but as i say 2.5 million is alot of cash!...
Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...

As I said it depends whether signing him means we don't sign someone else. If we go out and spend £10m this January then by all means sign him up but if the kitty is only £2.5m then there are more important signings to be made first.

in an ideal world I'd get him on loan for the rest of the season & Reid

and if we go up..................buy them both

I'd rather we spent what we have on a quality striker (there you go again)

but in all honesty that's the difference between a top 2 finish & maybe a play off place, it's as simple as that

so far he hasn't impressed me that much, started off well but since the red cards he really has lost his form badly. Not worth £2.5 million at the moment IMO.
