There was no reason for dropping Ramage but Magilton did and most are saying that it was a brilliant decision. Based on that 'experiment' no wonder why JM thought it was worth dropping Borrowdale for a perceived better defender.
    Exactly.

Ramage played at Scunny and Sheffield, and we won both games.
    He was dropped after both.

Borrowdale didn't even play at Sheffield Wednesday, yet people are bleating that he was dropped for Tommy Williams.
It's funny how the same morals from the Bozza Fan Club don't seem to apply to Peter Ramage, who has a genuine complaint.

With the greatest respect to Ramage...he is dire, I would have any of Borrowdale, Williams or legs over him.

Well when someone states that it would have made no difference if Borrowdale had been in the team, I feel I have to call them on that when his replacement made an error which cost us the decisive second goal. In other words, it did make a difference.

Borrowdale is excellent going forward, and frankly you don't need him massivel overlapping with the type of flair players we have. Borrowdale's greatest asset is his excellent close control (which we could have done with yesterday) and his ability to pretty much always pick the best passing option, and exectute that pass well. That is hugely important in going forward. It's not always about the obvious things.

There was need to change the team from the win at wedensday i know borrowdale didn't play their through illness but he's done nothing wrong all season should of played instead of williams. He's been playing for a team bottom of the league yet walks straight into our team.....

As for tarrabt if he missed the coach then deserved to be dropped adds fuel to the fire that he's not a team player and probably feels he's to good too be playing for us.

Round and round we go.... you can call me on what you like, but it boils down to a simple equasion:

You highly rate him, and I don't. It's really that simple.

I tell you what... I wont try and convince you he's pony, if you don't try and convince me he's good.
It'll go on for ever, trust me.

            Fair deal, I'd say.

Not at all... I'm sure Stedders is as bored of "The Great Borrowdale Debate - Volume 28" as I am.
                Opinions.

Anyway, didn't this thread start out on a different subject?

So... was Adel a naughty boy then, or not??

Well if Taarabt spits the dummy because he was benched for being late, I'm with JM on that.

                    All a big "if" though.

Now maybe the blind critics will get off Borrowdale's back and realise we have a good player there.
Totally agree,Decent left back dunno why ppl slate him annoys me.

Robbo - okay deal about his abilities, we will never agree, but it sounds like his replacement messed it up which is not a great start. I want whoever plays to do well, and I don't like the way we're quickly dismantling a team that was doing so well recently. I hope we can get confidence back on Saturday with a resounding win.

Good. No problem with different opinions Stedders.

But regarding Williams, yes he had a poor debut, and made an error that was punished... but I was at the game and trust me, with one or two exceptions - the whole team were really poor. I think ANYONE else who went would back that opinion up.

I don't know what happened, but players like Buzsaky, Watson, Leigertwood, Reid were all just as bad as him.

Routledge, Simpson, Connelly, Taarabt etc.. weren't quite so bad, but by their own high standards, they were pretty poor too.
If Tommy Williams plays like that over a period of games, believe me, he wont stay in the side, and I'd be just as critical of him as anyone else.

I think he's better than yesterday showed... but I think they all are.

That sums up Saturday - they really were all poor, with those listed first being poorer than those in the second list.

The only one who played half decent and got his foot in was taken off at half time - that, IMO, was a poor decision and cost us the game at least as much as the individual errors refered to - and if it had been nil nil I reckon the handball would have been seen/given and we would still have got what we deserved on the day - Nowt!!

Is this the correct post in which I can turn round and say I told you so!!! I don't care what anyone says each team needs a beast of a defender - a no nonsence type of player and Stewart is ours. People may knock him but I've seen Connolly and Gorkks a few times together now and I've never been convinced about their partnership. There's no real pace and strength. Yes technically they are better players but you can't always have 11 really good technically gifted players in the team. Stewart should be straight back in againts Coventry and Connolly to full back.

                                I thank you!!
