  • Worst Performance..Of The Season By A Country mile

Sorry, but to us all fellow r's that made the trip to Doncaster, the performance today was truly awful. Okay, during the course of the season defeats will come our way, but it was the manner of the performance which is alarming. We deserved nothing, and got nothing.

Firstly, I'm not sure we have to accomodate our loanees and expect them to be better than what we ;ve got especially when they only recently joined. Anyone advocating Williams over Borrowdale, better wish he doesn;t perform like this again. His style of whipping in crosses is not suited to our style of play and reminds me of the fella we looked at pre-season, that went to Birmingham City.

Stephen Reid should not have played today and I hope we did not play 1 up front to accomodate him either. I hope we don;t make the same mistake many clubs make in presuming because he is a premiership midfielder, that he should auotmatically play and it alarmed me he played for 90 miniutes over Faurlin, who because he is a lesser name gets subbed. He was our best midfielder.

Our players will come off the pitch today hardly sweating and could probably play another 90 minutes no problem. Not sure Flavio and his 8 guests will be happy and to be honest the 1500 travelling fans won;t be either. This was an inept performance and not good enough against an average team. Please don't be fooled by anyone who says we controlled the game, we didn't. One shot on goal only tells a story and it was a simple shot saved by Sullivan.

No need to change a winning team, unless you have injuries and today we tinkered without any good reason, apart from the fact we have 2 different names in the squad. The weather today was crap and so was the performance. It was a lazy performance from players to the management and no-one got it right. Our substituions after 62 minutes we were wrong and the very reason we are subbing Simpson is beyond me, but maybe we are getting him to run his socks off being the lone man up front. That formation amazed me today and something that I have been very critical of in the past, our wide man were isolated and played too deep. This was hopefully a blip, because if we play this too many times away reminder of the season, dreams of a play off spot will be an unrealistic dream.

    Yes
Just back but can`t understand how Faurlin was subbed.Totally a massive miss in midfield.Stephen Reid is so unfit and looking lost even within the first 20min.Jim has to take the blame on this poor poor performance..Even Dean Sheils who has one eye scores for the home side..Agree why change a team.
Passed you outside the stadium. Who was having a rant at you or about someome? He certainly had a bee in his bonnet...
Anyway we are Southern softies!! Who cant adapt to this Northern extreme weather!!

we got sucked in by the fact, he plays in the premiership and presumed he would be the nuts. Full of praise for Magilton this season, but you have to take it on thie chin, when you get it wrong.

Reid should have come off after 45 minutes. I'm not doubting he will be good, but wrong game to play the full 90 minutes and just messed our style of play.

As for Williams, I just hope he gets better.

I do not like the sound of Williams whipping crosses into no one....I'll give him 3 of those next week before serious abuse starts to fly!

cannot see why the 2 loaness walked straight into the team....thought Magilton was in full control....doesn't seem like it.

Too many big time charlies out there today, happy to pick up their wages without earning them. The trouble with some loanees is that they are not there for OUR club, there was no passion in their performance. Nobody wanted to play football out there today, just spray meaningless passes to the wings and then stand and watch the game. Donny have no big name players yet they played us off the park, neat and tidy football, pass and move. It was so easy for them it was embarrasing. Faurlin was the only centre-mid player out there who was actually trying, his movement is very impressive and when he was substituted our only link from our defence disappeared. Watson and Reid were very static and offered very little going forward which left Simpson isolated. Watson has not impressed at all since his arrival, we played much better without him against Preston a few weeks back and Reading and Derby while I'm at it, so no great loss if we don't sign him.

very similar to Vigal. Okay, I understand Borrowdale is not your cup of tea, but with Williams, he crossed for no apparant reason.

I'd blame him for the second goal and when you see it, I hope you see what I mean.

he was poor today, hoping he is good next Saturday.

Sounds like a limited player to me or what they call a one trick pony....lets hope he realises Jay Simpson is unlikely to be on the end of those over the course of the next week.

I also hope Magilton doesn't see Williams play as reason to stat playing that donkey Pellicori.

Could have gone home after 65 minutes today when Pellicori and Ageymang came on. They never threatened.

Agree about Faurlin, not sure why he was hooked at HT. Didn't deserve that.

I suppose players making debuts are scrutinized more than others, but they were two poor performances surrounded by plenty of others.
So a bit unfair that they will cop more stick than the rest of them.
Reid was poor, but no worse than Watson.

Williams was poor, but wasn't exactly miles behind Leigertwood in that.

It's the players that didn't play who always come out of games like this smelling of roses. Not sure they'd have made a jot of difference.

Just a p*ss-poor day all round.

Bring back Helguson and those crosses will have someone on the end. Simples

glad i missed it then. Went last year though and performance was awful then too. it is a decent little ground, looks like donnys ground will be a jinxed place for us. with a bit of luck we`ll avoid playing them again for years. We go up they go down. Need 2 get back on track asap next week.
