It's typical that Helguson could not hit a barn door with us, yet is playing like Alan Shearer for Watford. To be honest, **** watford, let's recall him, if only to call a hault to their promotion push. They're one of our main rivals now..

people say helguson was "useless" but imho is he 2nd best striker at the club.. behind simpson. vine agyemang and pellicori havent done anything so far that tells me they are better.
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
          Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

I would agree with that, when Vine was in form he was better but these days he isn't half the player he was. I would never have loaned Helguson out ahead of Vine or Agyemang!

Strikers are so important.. i might be spotting the obvious maybe

Coventry aren't all that.. they got goal scoring strikers though.
              Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
              And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

What kind of a chance did he have here wen he was booed all the time.

                    Exactly.

Players thrive on confidence and if he is getting booed every week by our fans he will do nothing. At Watford they love him,and his performances show he thrives on fans support.

                    Thank you Q block.

He wasn't booed all the time he was popular when he first came here hence why we signed him! Then suddenly he couldn't a cows ass with a banjo. I don't think he is that bad but to be totally honest half this mesage board would have buried about 5 or 6 of the chances he managed to miss!

It serves us right that he's doing the business now for Watford, given some of the treatment our fans gave him. You dont become a bad player overnight. He's living proof how massive a role confidence plays in the game. Some will argue that they got on his back only after his form dipped, but its a chicken and egg situation.

Moral of the story - always back your own players, even when they go through a bad spell; and they will come good again, just like he's doing now. Nothing to do with him being better suited to Watford etc, only that their fans stuck by him more.
