  • Ambition this year, compared to last?

This year, it appears we are really going for promotion - with some great signings, and hopefulyl more to come. I was a bit concerned in the summer with the lack of strikers signed, and no real full backs coming in - but since the start of the season, we seem to be going for some great players. Im not complaining, but why are we suddenly going for these standard players - and not so much before?

Sure i would like to see another striker and right back etc...but cannot really complain thus far.We seem to be able to score from all over the pitch within the system we are playing. If we were to play two strikers up front - it may negate our attacking options.

Managing a Championship club is sooo easy behind the computer.I wasn't Jim's biggest fan - but have to say him and Gorman have impressed me and i quite happily eat my words.Although i didn't #### him off - just thought keane would have been a better manager....Shows you what i know

The owners ambition is the same as last year, but now we have a better team, with more consistancy better players(please buy some classy defenders). Us as fans have the same ambition as it was in 1995/96-to get back up in the premiership. Off the pitch the set up in already in motion, you only have to look in the club shop and see us now selling Dog bowls, we`ve truly made back in the big time now! I`m being greedy, I want to win the league or win the play off final at wembley.

We are long overdue a cup or league success,
I mean we are not exactly awful, not recently at least.
I hope it is this year, although I had more
confidence last autumn, before Dowie got the sack.
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

WAIT FOR THE COMMENTS LIKE - most of the players we have signed are NOT OURS!

Personally what has happened so far this season now to me is in the past. I'll look at each game as another 3 points nearer the promise land. I was disappointed with the performance with the game against Leicester and it was made even worse by not taking 3 points off Crystal Palace but to get 6 points from Sheff Wed and Donny away would be fantastic. I'd take 2nd place anyday over going up via the playoffs as I don't want to run the risk of an experience like I had at The Millenium Stadium!

Me too. I don't want to seat out the play-offs. A good comfortable top two finish thank you very much.

I agree with Spencer re: Jim Magilton.

I didn't really want him, but I didn't #### him off, because I thought he did reasonably well with an Ipswich squad that wasn't as good as QPR's. I also said that QPR will be far more entertaining and score more goals than last season. I just thought the club could have aimed for a higher profile manager. However, I am quite pleased they didn't and am hopeful that QPR will maintain a strong promotion challenge.

I do think QPR need to improve the squad by signing better full backs and perhaps sign Watson on a perm deal or extend the loan for the remainder of the season. Another goalscorer would also be appreciated as would extra cover for Mahon and Rowlands.

Apart from that, I am happy.
