Saw Llloyd Doyley play a few weeks back and he had a bit of paper and he was reading it in his box defending, when marking someone

He might have a memory problem

I remember too mate, but there was a fee involved.

I just can see anyone agreeing to let someone go for nothing and still pay towards their wages.

        Fair point!

Let's just hope he realises his career is on the wane and he's not worth as much money these days!

Helguson can go for free imo, awful player (Not for watford for some reason)
          Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
          And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Surely this sort of thing happened before with Leeds? Weren't they still paying Robbie Fowler and a few others wages years after they left?

Quite possibly mate. You may well be right. Maybe I just don't want to believe we'd be stupid enough to allow this to happen?!

I sincerely hope you're wrong on this.

Only time will tell, I suppose.

The stupid thing was lumbering ourselves with such a clapped out lump in the first place. As a medical at the time would no doubt have confirmed.

                  Isn't that best practice though?

It's the way we do it

I also didn't want him signed, especially not on his big wages and for £650k.

However, Watford are doing quite well and to be honest, and I don't see why QPR should help them out by letting him go for peanuts (not even a big bag of M&Ms).

If they want him, they can pay up £500K or at least swap him for Doyley or John-Joe O'Toole.

Failing that, perhaps suggest that he can stay there on loan all season as long as they pay his wages. At least this way he can't play and score against QPR.

Amazing how we always want to play hard-ball when we're trying to get rid of someone. Yet when we're trying to get them in we drop our drawers like a cheap brass.

Watford fans I know think Doyley is s**t,when we were supposed to be after him a while ago they were laughing and saying we were welcome to him.John Joe OToole looked good when he first got in their team but has been farmed out to Sheff Utd and now Colchester over the last 2 seasons, might be worth a look he's still young. But do we need other teams cast offs, we had to many in the last couple of years and still have some dead wood to get rid of.

Maybe Doyley isn't good, but I think O'Toole is ok to have as a sub. I seem to recall he is quite tall and decent in the air at set pieces.

I don't want HH at QPR and don't really rate him, but I don't want him joining Watford at a giveaway price and then see him back at LR scoring for them.

If QPR just want to get him off the wage bill, I say loan him out until the end of May, as long as they pay his salary and don't let him play against QPR.
