    Neither.

Best is a terrible player (does anyone remember when he was last here? utter tripe) and Beckford has a number of unsavoury items in his locker.

Morrison, Barnard, McLean or Hooper would be my preferences

I'll be honest, I haven't seen enough of either of them. How many people actually commenting on this have actually seen them many times, and not just the highlights on TV?

If we are going to sign anyone, I think they need to be markedly better than what we have, or there is no point. The only person I have really been impressed with against us was Fryatt, to the point where he made us look stupid in defence.

Seen Beckford once this season at Southend and he was marked out of the game and kept falling over and moaning.

That happens to Rooney every now and then, does that make him a crap striker ?

Beckford, not Good enough at a higher level?, Neither was Paulo Wanchope!! LOL. If we Buy him and he turns out to be mediocre, then so what we can afford to buy someone else better. What About Franck Ribery instead??

No need for Ribery - why not use Mackail-Smith, Boyd, Hooper or Shelvey as examples?

For what it's worth - IMO - having seen a great deal of Beckford - he isn't good enough.

Why is it that Bates hasn't been beating bids off with a sh1tty stick for the past 18 months?

NB - aside from one goal at Man Utd, what did Wanchope do that was so earth shattering?

                    Agree.

We need somebody, just not sure Beckford is the answer. Would rather go for Matty Fryatt based on what I've seen.

Because Uncle Ken hasn't got a sh1tty stick?

And people just don't want to phone him up, no player is worth that.

Uncle Ken owns a dairy farm (memorable sponsors of Chelsea's kit one season - Grange Farm - arf!!!) - if he can't find a sh1tty stick in a dairy farm, well, I say he's no dairy farmer!

He DID have a sh1tty stick, it was called Dennis Wise.
