Who Is Our Leader On The Pitch Now??

Connolly. 100%
Based on his influence, abilty, age, and I thought he was very vocal at Scunny and Sheffield.
Maybe not off the pitch, I wouldn't know about that... but on the pitch, he directs and talks a lot.
But I'm biased, because I think he has been, and will be a fantastic player for us.

Mahon is the only genuine leader we have on the pitch and he's not guaranteed to start (especially for the next 4 months anyway...). Rowlands leads by his example and workrate, but does not appear to be much of a talker to me.
Before Mahon, Steve Palmer was the only one I have seen over the last five or so years who could be defined as an on pitch leader.
It is one of the reasons, we have not pushed on since our promotion back to this level...

I think people are kidding themselves if you think we can get away without a leader on the field. It has to be absolute priority to bring in a defensive holding midfielder with strong leadership qualities, I don't care who wears the band but without that in Midfield we are going to slip back big time, and I've seen nothing from Watson so far to suggest he has these qualities
