Could Any of Our Current Players, Ever Play For England

WR was to young when he played for Villa in the prem, he now has a couple of years more experience so yes he could make it as an England player (there's not a great deal out there is there) as for Matt Connolly, absolutely, if he carries on with the way he's going then 100% yes he could if he progresses the way he is, all down to if we get in the prem, as i don't think Fabio will look at any championship players

I have posted this before,but....when he played in the Prem for Palarse only Henry,Lampard and Gerrard got more assists....that season (in a relagated team) also got him a move to Spurs,coupled with him playing for England at every level bar full cap shows he undoubtedly has the ability to certainly play in the Prem.

WR has potential??? He's 25 in less than 2 Months u nutters... He won't play for England, take off the blue n White glasses. Much better players in the wide position for England than wayne and I totally disagree capello was at leicester to look at WR or any of our players for that matter. I'm not sayin that I don't rate Wayne but he's not good enough for England IMO. Lennon, SWP, Walcott, ashley young would be better on right than WR, milner, steven gerrard would fill in before routledge, England love square pegs n round holes. Oh and so would joe cole, I'm sure there's more

Connolly imo could, he has it all, he just need a little more experience, and prem football to get noticed...

Routledge imo needs to stay with us and prove himself consistently in the prem before he will even get looked at...

Matt Connolly has all the potential to be an england international, as does Routledge and Ben Watson. Wouldn't be surprised if all three were in future england squads..

Truth is if we got promoted and were able to stay in the premiership, I could see Connolly and Routledge getting the chance to play at least a friendly for England.

as benny said there are more than enough players to play right wing. routledge wouldn't get a look in.

he couldn't cut it in the prem. so international level is much too high.

connolly maybe in the future but there are more than enough english CB's in front of him

we are only in the championship and being undone by championship teams. a long long way off premiership and international level.
