  • Video With Ernie Howe..Next Week

Stredders will be taking his time out to interview him about his career, if you have any questions sure he would be interested.

may have been asked before, but any extra questions would be good.

I have a question... who is he?
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Christ, who next? Ron Abbott? Karl Ready? One of the worst centre halves ever to play for Rangers. The only thing he was good at was drawing his own keeper off the line before calmly slotting home an own goal. A useless embarrassment from Fool****, think Zesh but a hundred times worse.

Bernie - you live very much in a world of black and white, everything is so extreme to you. He played in a really good team at Rangers, in the top division, there is no comparison with players like Ready and Zesh. He was also wanted by a top 4 club but R's wouldn't let him go. You can find out more in the interview.

Stedders old son, go and take your medication.

Ernie Howe played in a team that never finished higher than fourth from bottom of the top flight. Hardly "a really good team" I'd suggest. And he was brought in to replace Dave Needham who was sold to Nottm For for £300k only six months after he arrived. Jim Gregory purchased the slowest milkman in the west for £50k from a poor Fulham team. Jim Gregory would never pass up a profit (see Dave Needham), so the idea that he wouldn't have sold a carthorse like Howe to anyone let alone a top 4 club is ludicrous.

If you can find anyone who actually saw him play and remembers Ernie as anything other than dreadful, then good luck to you. Though what with your adoration for Borrowdale and big Ern, I'm beginning to suspect that you're trolling.

Let's see....what did you think of that other seventies legend, the bearded wonder himself, Brian Williams?
