1. Plymouth away a few season's ago. There were delays on the trains that day. Left the island at 4am. Coming back was a nightmare, got home at 5am on the Sunday morning.
2. Missed a friends wedding to go to Preston away a couple of seasons ago.
3. Doncaster away last season (put in the report after!). Absolutely ridiculous!!!!
Remember it taking me 7 hours to get home from Southampton last season by train.Got absolutely slaughtered.Took nearly 2 hours to walk from the ground to the train station, don't know where i went.
Fell asleep at the train station and missed the last train to Reading.Had to get a lift off a coach to Southampton airport station to get the train back to London.Changed at Basingstoke, then Reading to Iver.
When I look back over the years I realise I have done some really crazy things to get to a match, but one of my better ones happened many years ago.
My wife still reminds me of the time when we were in Singapore visiting our son and his family, when I left her there and took the only remaining seat available on the Friday night flight back to London in order to get to the match.
I was a box holder in those days, so I went straight to Loftus Road, but what with the effects of jet lag, far too much drink awaiting the kick-off, and putting a "Do not disturb" sticker on the door, I fell asleep and woke up just before the final whistle.

Reason: word printed twice
I've been to LR several times when really not well enough to do so.
Once I had a TAB (typhoid and cholera) jab Saturday morning, went to see us play West Ham pm (around 1975, I think) and was struggling to stand on the Loft -- by evening I was on the floor, I was so ill.
And went to Luton circa 1979 suffering from a severe reaction to antibiotics.
But unfortunately my gall bladder op last wednesday DID prevent me from seeing our glorious victory over Wednesday last Saturday...
Not me but my Dad still met me n went to palace at home after spending bout 9 hrs on a flight from Bahamas last season, he cud hardly keep his eyes open only to see a 0-0 draw if memory serves me correctly!
Was in Austria in some little village at 8.30am but still got to Loftus Road for game versus Wolves at about 5 mins to 3, think we lost 1-0 with goal in last few minutes, we had beaten Oxford 1-0 in the week Rob Steiner scoring.
There must be a few out there (albeit admittedly a very few) who remember Carlisle Christmas 86. Need I say blizzards, no trains back, sleeping on the Carlisle club house floor to prompt memories perhaps some would like to forget.
Been on a day return trip from Stockholm to Loftus Road with my two sons.
Been to Plymouth with my daughter. Travelled with the LSA.
Are going to Blackpool with some swedish hoops friends in januari.
I remember driving to selhurst shortly after passing my driving test in Dec 96. It took near on 3 hours to get there and we didn't get in! We had to drive home listening to it on the radio, we lost 5-0 or 5-1 so we didn't miss much!
