Rangers keen to keep hold of midfielder
Skysports.com understands Queens Park Rangers have offered Mikele Leigertwood a new deal at Loftus Road.
Leigertwood's current deal expires next summer and the club are keen to keep hold of the industrious midfielder.
The 26-year-old has established himself as a key member of the Rangers squad since his arrival in the summer of 2007 and he has impressed in Jim Magilton's side this term.
A number of Premier League and Championship sides are thought to be monitoring Leigertwood's situation at QPR and are ready to move for him in the summer.
However, QPR are hoping to ward off the interest by securing the former Crystal Palace and Sheffield United ace to a new long-term deal.
