Unless he suddendly becomes better than he has ever been! Then no, because he isn't as good as Taarabt, Routledge or Buzsaky!

Hope he comes back and be great player to bring in to give more options. Is he better than what we have? No

No arguments, it'd be great to think he'll rediscover of 06-07. If he does, he'll have his part to play. But it will be two and a half seasons since he reached those heights, and he's missed a lot of football in that time. Odds are probably against, but good luck to him.

                Great to hear.

Play him on the left wing, where he is best and see what he can do.

If he can forget about his knee and take on players like he once did, then yes!! He is an option.

It seems this operation was "The Big One" for him, and all the niggles and playing through pain over the last two years can be put behind him.

I think people tend to forget a couple of things with Lee Cook.
How good he was before the move to Fulham, and the knee problems that are *hopefully* finally behind him after this operation. The bloke was on a different level back then, and any dip in form after that was down to his knee problem... nothing else. All managers in this league know how good he can be on his day, Magilton certainly included.

If he can get back to 100% fitness, and that will take a good few weeks even after his return to full training - then anyone who writes him off as not good enough, or under-estimates the impact a fully fit Lee Cook could have on QPR has very short memories, and is seriously wrong IMO.

Also, I notice a lot of comments like "Who would he replace, and who would you drop for him?" when the subject of a new striker, or Lee Cook, or anyone is mentioned who isn't currently in the team right now.
That is really odd to me, because to assume that none of Simpson, Taarabt, Buz, Routledge, etc.. will get injured, banned, sick, lose form, or go missing for any reason is just blind, wild optimism, and just wont happen!
Ainsworth came on the other week, Mahon has come from nowhere, and we've had youth players on the bench in very recent games.
                      It always happens.

We have other good players now, unlike when Lee was flying a couple of years back... so no need to rush him back. And back then, he was often double/treble marked by the other team. Do that to him now, and the rest of them would run riot.
He's a good defender/tracker too. Works so hard.

BUT..... it's all about how his knee recovers and his fitness levels. Because there is nothing else to stop him from being the best pure left-sided midfielder in this league, again - like he was.

And he's also OURS...... not to be taken for granted, that.

Yes he can get back into the team.
                        Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                        And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO
