      Absolutely.

He is not gonna set the world alight, but i think he deserves respect for his attitude and work ethic.

With all the flair we have in the team - you need a plodder to do some of the dirty work. However - from what i have seen Faurlin seems to have that in his locker as well....but obviously he is still settling in and i think we will see him grow into a much better player as the season goes on.

Always thought Mahon does a good job for us. But when he was linked with (Scunny?) I, like many, thought his days with us were numbered when we had a fully fit Rowlands, Legs and the signing of Watson to choose from. Nothing wrong in thinking that. Glad it's turned out okay for him at QPR. He's a top man.

            Agree.

Thought he may go as we have a high number of midfielder's.

              True.

I don't care if he won Fifa World Player of the Year, and the Nobel Peace Prize last year - he's not in the same class as Gorkks or Connolly.
And in my opinion, wasn't even as good as either of those last season.

Mahon? Always thought he was perfect for the role he's now doing, rather than playing an "all over" midfield role. Not quick enough for that.
              He's an enforcer.

The dead wood sprouting the green shoots of recovery! Who knows, at this rate maybe Pat will start banging them in on a regular basis...

Always rated him, always said that his experience is invaluable in our largely young side.

I'm serving up the pie.. anyone want a slice?

No I know enough about football to know that not every player has to play like Ronaldo to be good at particular job. Mahon knows his role and does it well!

Always thought he was OK and he's done well since the mare he had against Ipswich. Needed now, as he's first choice for Captain due to the unfortunate injury to Rowly. Definitely a leader on the pitch.
Opinions are like A******s, everyone has one, but nobody wants to see the other guy's.
