  • Attendance/ ground etc

With all the special offers it seems the board has (perhaps belatedly) learned its lesson about pricing. Even if we narrowly miss out on promotion, suspect with a buz about the place and cheaper prices attendances will be much higher next season.
As it can take years to get planning permission let alone complete the work, shouldn't the club be applying to increase capacity now, not in the summer? If we aren't, it suggests to me the club might be thinking of a ground share if we do go up (Flavio's visits to Fulham???) which might suit him for being cheap. Also, Fulham might appreciate the extra revenue - did you see on MoTD2 it said they only took 287 fans to Wigan and the 16 odd thousand crowd was the lowest Premiership gate of the year. Makes you realise that our support isn't as bad as all that: with success on the pitch, a fairer pricing structure and improved facilities I think we have a lot of scope to increase attendance. Just hope the club is planning for it.

stainrod, think the reason they took such few numbers to wigan was that a fair few had shelled out the week before, for the roma game
    Ooh northern lads love gravy

Took less than 1,000 to Roma. By comparison, Ipswich took 7,000 to Inter a few seasons back in the same competition

Would of thought a fair few would have been put off by the many stabbings that have happened to English fans over recent years.

Don't see why. Roma ultra's boycotted this game in protest of the clubs ownership (the owner has been the subject of death threats) and threatened any Roma fans that did attend that there would be violent repercussions

Blimey Nodge, puts the occasional "who r ya?" shouted outside the springbox into some sort of focus.

Anyway, the stuff about Fulham's attendance shows that even with a tiny core support you can still get home gates in the premiership way above what we will be able to accomodate.

Yep - a very well marketed and administrated football club are Fulham. Heavily geared financially but works pretty smoothly. F**ked beyond all belief if Fayed were to leave though.

Think there are a few clubs you could add to Fulham.Only so many Russian/Arab billionaires willing to bankroll clubs.

Stainrod.... I seem to remember (can't remember exactly though), but haven't we got some sort of approval already to re-do ER and get a two tear in there?
