As said somewhere above - what does the boy himself want, that is what matters and we will find that out in due course.#standuptocancer

Yes indeed agree with you Chris, and when Man City talk of loaning us a couple of "stars" I suspect it is young unkowns that they have in mind - which is a bit patronising really because while a couple of years ago we were crying out for Jimmy Smith type players they now need to be closer to Premiership first team standards to add much to our first team.
If this is all that's on offer and we've got no chance of keeping the kid I'd rather scre* them for as much dosh as poss and put it to the striker fund.

One of the players is very good and would score goals in the championship:boss: and the other one can defendALL BEST BANTER AND ALL THE LATEST FROM QPR.

is bojinov still at city? just a thought. but i feel sm1882 is spot on here. keep the lad,try n bring him on, and perhaps bit more encouragement to develop our youth facilities and attract more youngsters to our club. really no reason to sell. with our money, we dont need to sell him to fund a promotion bid. if we are serious about going up, then keep sterling, sign simpson, watson and taarabt on perms, loan gibbs and sanchez watt from arsenal and then we will be in the prem. Then let sterling decide if he wants to sit in top 6 reserves, or play in our 1st team in the prem, playing exciting and attractive football.

qblock good post.
I wouldn't mind Jim achieving all the things you mentioned.
Like you said, I would be very confident if we could sign our loanees and add a couple more.I played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

hopefully the boy has sense, like a certain r jones, who was linked with many clubs before signing a contract with us, even if it was fairly lucrative from what i read at the time. If he does support QPR, then nothing will ever match winning something with the team you support, he could go on to be our gerrard. Im sure weve all dreamt of winning a trophy with our beloved hoops, fingers crossed young sterling feels the same. truth is, he wont be loved or appreciated more by any other fans in the world.

Well, whatever happens, this will be a test for our esteemed Sporting Director. Lets hope he makes a better fist of it than with Dean Parrett.
But with the headline grabbing, barnstorming, world beating capture of, erm, Tommy Williams getting everyone in football excited, I'm sure Gianni will do us proud!
Personally, I'd like to think that the club will send out a message on this one. Namely that we're investing in the future, we're investing in our youth teams and that we're not prepared to drop our drawers whenever a Prem club come sniffing around our future stars. £1m plus a couple of deadwood loans doesnt get me excited personally. But from the tone of Pete's posts it seems the lads fate is sealed?QBP 20th August 2009..."To be fair, I'm glad we are top of the table (for agents fees). Shows we are not a selling club anymore."
