I think you lot are very harsh about his passing. Watch him carefully next match he plays - he regularly slides accurate 20 yard passes between opposition players, nicely to feet...
I have watched him plenty.
In the 2nd half against Palace his positioning was shocking.
I doubt he could even position himself between the legs of a woman, he is that bad at times.

Fitz Hall can't to that!
With a bit of luck, the next time I watch him play will be on the telly for Morecambe or Darlington in The Football League Show. It's his level.

I'll probably be at home, eating Easter eggs.
Seriously, his passing is good, along the deck up to about 20 yards, fine.
But how many times has he over-lapped and put a good cross in from near the by-line??
And when he does get forward, he links up well... but can't get back.
Who would you start with in the next match, assuming both are fit? I like Williams, but Borrowdale has been excellent and I think he should keep his place. Am glad we have another passing left back though, good move Madge!
williams is not that great,doubt if many were bothered when he left us last time;
By all accounts he's grown up and improved since the last time he was with us. The signing is only temporary so if he flops we get rid in January if he is a success then he'll be available on the cheap due to his contract running out at Posh.
on recent form and seeing williams previously in a rangers shirt i wouldnt say williams is better or worse than borrowdale. i mean i slated borrowdale but recently he has been steady.
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

He is steady but offers very little going forward. With neither Buzsaky or Taraabt being naturally left footed it will be great having someone who can overlap and put the ball into the box. He has the pace to get back and by being up with the play he'll draw defenders away from whoever we have at left wing.
Did someone in this thread describe Borrowdale recently as "brilliant", or was I just dreaming?
Think Williams did look better from what I remember, but then he was playing alongside a lot worse players then so much easier to look good. I'm very positive about this signing and happy to give him a chance. If he is pants and we haven't secretly agreed already to sign him permanently in Jan, think this is a shrewd move and a good opportunity to try him out.
