What on earth is going on a LR? We currently have a left winger, and not a very good one at that, filling in at left back.
The only other left back Griffiths, who hasn't been seen near the first team yet, so Fergie clearly has little faith in him.
At a time when we need defensive cover and a bit of pace, I really cannot fathom why Williams has been allowed out on loan. He offers so much more than Rowe.

Maybe Williams wanted to go (as he loves Posh so much ) and the powers that be would rather not have a unhappy player ruining team spirit? Lets face it, we have seen more of him in the papers recently being out and about with Peter Andre than we have in a Posh shirt, him and his misses would clearly rather be in London than Peterborough.
Footballing wise, whilst he has a few assists to his name, every good cross is followed by six landing on the London Road roof, and he is far to shaky defensively. We simply cant afford his inconsistency at moment.
He is also out of contract in the summer.

Williams has been a great servant to the club in his three spells. If it is the last we see of him in a Posh shirt, I for one will welcome him back when we play QPR.
As for the comment that Rowe is not very good - jeez. A young lad with pace, who looks solid in his defensive duties. You clearly weren't at Blackburn, or any other game where Rowe has played at full back this season.

Seems a strange one, as Williams has been one of our most creative out-lets this season.
However I think Fergie may well have had a fall-out with him, he does seem like the player that would have an attitude problem and with us being in the situation we are in, we only need people with the attitude to get us up the table.
It also free's up the wage bill, we all know this club will not break the wage structure, I would think Williams will be on a bigger contract than a lot of the current team.
He also may have rejected a contract offer from us, therefore Ferguson wants to get any money we can for him whilst we still can.
The truth is on the out-side it looks a strange on as we lack cover but it may well be something from deeper within the club.

I agree with CP - not a good defender, an average wing back at best and always likely to lose his head under pressure. I'm surprised that QPR fancy him but a good move for Nicola's career anyway. With Rowe looking good at LB, Griffiths pressing him and Charlie able to fill in, we have plenty of cover.

Captain I posted near enough what your saying on our other forum
Rowe will be so much better than Williams, like you say Tommy can make some good crosses but 1 out of 6 the other five hit the stand roofs, Rowe can ping in some good crosses too and is a better defender
Right back is where we're lacking lets hope freeing up Williams wages will help getting in a right back
Tommy and Mrs will be happy in the London wannabe scene

4 Sep. Cannot disagree with you more. Wiiliams did a great job for us last season as Day did the season before but he is league 1 and no better.
As for your comments on Rowe, I 100% agree with Nick. You obviosuly haven't seen him play many games. He is still very young but when you watch his positioning and what he
tries do when he's on the ball you can see that he's going to be one hell of a player and has already turned in some good performances. Undoubtedly the best left back at the club at the moment (and I firmly believed that would be his best position when we signed him) and I doubt we'll see much of Griffiths whilst Fergie plays him there.
Just get us a quality right back and we can settle down with the same back 4 for a few games which is what we need. A bit of stability.

Can't wait to see R4E's comments...
Not sorry to see him leaving on loan, there's no way he'll get another contract at Posh, he'd want too much money for a start...
