Amazing some of you lot. Hall is the most costly and least effective of our centre backs, but hey, let's get rid of last season's POTY instead to bring in someone who will want pots of money and isn't as good as Connolly or Gorkss.

Personally just feel Dan is a bit injury prone, think Carlisle has sorted himself out and is playing very well at the moment, although i always liked him anyway.I do feel we need a big lump at the back but i think we could/should be looking past the past
Great to have him back in my opinion. Bolton bought him from Watford after he was outstanding for them. You don't become a bad player in 2 years.
Some really do amaze me.
Here is a question for you.
5 years ago who was the better defender Clarke Carlisle or Dan ****tu?
and if I asked you about Carlisle, what would you say?
If you asked me about Carlisle, I'd say he's part of a defence conceding over 3 goals a game away from home in the Prem and is clearly out of his depth.
If you asked me about ****tu, I'd say he played one season in the Prem in a defence that got relegated, and has since moved to a Prem team where he hardly plays, isn't a first choice and at his age is not likely to improve enough to make the step either.
If you asked me about centre backs we need to look at, I'd say they have to be better than Connolly and Gorkss, and ****tu doesn't qualify.
And finally, if you asked me where we need to strengthen in defence, I'd say the priorities definitely are not at centre half, they are at Left Back where we only have one below average CCC option available to us, and then at Right Back, where we need a Right Back to play, not a fifth choice central midfielder or a converted, one paced centre back.
