None of this about HH and Cookie surprises me at all, given that we signed Sturridge (who had a history of being injury prone) WITHOUT any medical, didn't we? And we signed Rowly when he was still in plaster with a broken leg (luckily that one worked out OK).
We seem to have got it RIGHT with Lopez, pay-per-play to prove his fitness -- unless that was as a result of the painful lesson learnt from signing HH.
