we have no choice if the player decides to leave, we could take it to tribunal if he had signed YTS forms but as seen in the Bostock case we'd get sweet FA.....

if someone offers us hard cash then we'll unfortunately have to take it

Bottom line is someone needs to sell reasons to stay at QPR.

      Local club
      Knows set up
More likely to get a chance sooner

If it's the temptation of money in his pocket offered by another club we have to match it if we want to keep him

If he wants to leave regardless we would be smart to take what we can for him.

Makes you wonder what the point is in investing in a youth development programme though. Your best prospects get taken after you have invested time and money before they get to 15....

Difficult one this, do we capatalise on his potential and sell or keep him?

With the record of recent young players we've had, they tend not to make it immediately and 14 is such an early age.

Without any shadow of a doubt I would keep him.

We should show our intent. Telling the likes of Man City to f off would show we mean business at the club!

You could be right, but personally depends to me what a club Manchester City value him at. If it was 3 million, no-one in there right man would turn that down. End of the day, football is a business as well.

Yeah but there has never been so much talk about the likes of german or balanta...

If they were as good they would have got this same attention.

But surely it costs us that kind of money to develop the likes of Sterling & the ones who don't make it over a period of years.

Also, if you're not going to keep the ones you spend money on developing and you don't want to pay out transfer fees on established first teamers how can you get anywhere? Its one or the other surely.

True, but its a little bit of hype at the moment. he even scored for the u-18's on Saturday. You never know, how it will effect him.

How many kids at 14 who are stars make it at very much high level. if you look at the England u-16's of years gone by, very rarely do they make it.

True jermaine pennet comes to mind...

But for as long as ive supported QPR i have never heard so much hype for one youngster!! With this hype you gotta believe the QPR staff will work overtime on this boy to keep him grounded...

Anyhow lets not concentrate on the bad things that might happen, lets concentrate on the good points and assume he will actually be able to forfill his potential.

When was the last time a QPR youngster had man city, man utd, liverpool and repotedly more teams watching him.

Be honest, had you heard of him 2 weeks ago??

End of the day, its great for the kid and he must be on cloud nine, but he is 14. He is not even a teenager and so many things can go wrong in the next 3-4 years.

Personally, I hear what everyone is saying but realistically depends on how much?? You cannot guarantee that in 4 years time, he will even be a first teamer for QPR.
