Stats/Points Targets etc etc

OK I think we have some simple targets that if we achieve as a minimum we will get play offs. We need to achieve a minimum of 24 points per 15 games. That's where we are at currently.

Achieving that last year would have made us just miss out on the play-offs but this year it is much much tighter and 72 points would be enough for top 6.

So, 24 points minimum from these fixtures....

Well, if we only win a third and draw a third, we get 20 points, so I think it's VERY do-able. ;D

Given up trying to predict results, if we win more than half our games its job done.

Looking at the league table I think we will need MORE points than the last few seasons to make the playoffs.

All you need to do is see that Cardiff in 3rd only have 3 points more than Watford in
12th. Then from Palace to the next side there is a 5 point gap with a bunch of sides on 17 points in lower mid table.

I think the league is taking shape & that there is already a bottom half and top half. That's not saying one or two won't swap but we have to get more points than 6th got last season imo

Some very tough fixtures there, but, we do allways seem to do well once in our stride against the bigger teams...

Sky really is the limit, we have nobody to fear in this division!

I think we have to look at it realistically. We have no real previous experience of staying in the top 6 over a long period and thats the acid test. We have players who have experienced promotion so that helps, but it ain't going to be easy.

We have sketchy home form to say the least and we need to grind out results like we did against Sheffield Wednesday. We have been pretty lucky with injuries, in as much they have not affected our most influencial players and suspensions will kick in. All in all, we don't in my opinion have a strong enough squad, if one or two front players pick up injuries.

I fully expect new signings in January and we need to keep in the hunt until then. I fully expect us to do that, but being 4th at the end of the year in itself will be a massive acheivement. Nothing is won in November.
