Fair play to you Scott for your efforts to raise money for a great cause and fair play to the players, seems like they are a down to earth bunch. It looks like the spirit in the camp is fantastic, hopefully 3 points tomorrow then!!

        Great read altogether

Firstly special thanks goes to Rowan Vine and Gianni Paladini.

The team seemed to be buzzing today and it was fantastic to see Connolly involved in training. I wont say anything about team selection or formation for obvious reasons although Stewpeas appeared to have his ankle heavily strapped so I doubt he's fit at all. Watching Faurlin was simply awesome. If he can demonstrate half of what I saw today in the coming games and we'll be more than o.k.

Gorkss (who's birthday it is today) has a serious shiner going on from his clash the other night oh and Rambo is not cutting his hair for a bet..with a mackem..thats why he'd leaving it so long.

So, i was chatting to some of the players whilst having some breakfast, explained what i was doing and that i just wanted to raise some awareness of it and well, to see if they could help in anyway. I didnt want to ask for money straightout so just said to a small group of players what i was doing and said I'd leave some business cards with a link to my just giving site on it. Vine then said if I wanted to hang about he would sort me out with some boots to auction!

So, after watching training suddenly Ramage appears with a pair of signed match worn boots! Had a great chat to him and he was explaining how he was head of kids disability fund raising at Newcastle. What a thoroughly fantastic, tops guy he is...basically Vine had said who i was and Peter too wanted to help out.

Then..a few minutes later as I was tucking into some pasta (the food at Harlington is amazing) Gavin Mahon appears. He too had heard what Viney was telling them about and he signed and gave me his boots!

Then had a good chat with Adel who is bang up for tomorrow, on a high, and basically wants to get us to the Prem...we get promoted and we'll see what the board are about as I think he'll sign a Premiership contract with us.

Then, out of the blue...Routledge appears...same thing, had taken off his boots and signed them (frigging nice boots they are too)

            Then...One Size! and then Vine!

Vine had decided to give me his brand spanking new ones (god know how much they cost).

Basically Vine had gone to his mates, let them know the craic and they'd all taken off their boots.

            So, Rowan Vine...I thank you.

Considering I gave him, Routledge and Hall specifically some grief after they ******ed off sharpish at the POTY bash well, I have to say today they were absolute legends and perfect gentlemen who really honestly gave a sh*t.

I was saying happy Birthday to Kaspar and chatting to a few others when Cerny came over to say hello and said he wanted to help too. 5 minutes later I've got the gloves he was wearing.

So, all of them I'll auction off for the DSA fundraiser.

The confidence is high, Magilton is up for it, Gorman is up for it and the players are certainly up for it.

I reckon we've 6 points out of 6 en route!

            UUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRrsssssssssssssss
Scott, I hope you are able to raise a lot of wonga for the run. Makes you feel proud to be a Hoop

                              Scott your diet sounds shocking.
I like Chris played semi pro football but I also ran a half marathon in 85mins.
You really should be putting in some serious training and please don't take it for granted.
I was very fit but suffered bad cramps. As long as you are on average running 18miles then the body will handle it. You do eat by what I have read on here alot of crap. You need to put in the training and have a decent diet. Although u r 10 and a half stone that means nothing. Get yourself fit and take it VERY serious. 13miles was a challenge this will test u to the full. Good luck mate!
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!
