I have a feeling that our style is more suited to being away from home than at home.
At home, the expectations and the onus, both from the fans and from the away side, is on us. The opposition will generally come, clog the midfield, press hard and look to get something on the break. Unless we get a first half goal forcing the opposition to come out, the pressure will grow on us and the opposition will gain in confidence that their game plan is working.
However, away from home, the home side will be expected to come and attack us. This will create space for us to hit them hard on the counter-attack. Also, our ability (temporarily lost a bit) to keep the ball should frustrate home fans and work against the home side.
So, I suspect that there might be more wins on the road than at home.
Any thoughts?
