Were Leicester really as good as Pearson and his mob think they were?
In cold light of day I think they were just well organised. Their first job was to deny us space and try to nullify our attacking play. On a pitch like at LR it's pretty easy to do....I mean we've done it with 9 men against crewe.
Secondly, once stopping us doing that, their attacking play was just simple. Our problem was that we lacked cohesion as a defensive unit. If you remember how they attacked and the success they had it was two areas, one was simple ball to front man marked by clearly unfit or having a mare Stewart and the second was lobbed ball over our flat footed (no pace) right back. That put us on back foot and we had no answer.
Legs seemed completely lost in midfield and stopped the pressing on their midfielders and he didn't seem to know what he was doing until back to right back.
I think after 2 days, I feel much more confident that we'll learn from this and beat likes of leicester again. A team that's just well organised. Provided we can get our defensive shape back which likes of watson or mahon will help we'll be fine.
Looking through side on friday you wouldn't make many changes. cerny, borrowdale and gorkss should all stay. If 2 out of your back 4 are struggling its nigh on impossible. We need Legs at right back and a fully fit centre half. Then watson or mahon into the middle. No overreaction, we'll be mid playoffs come next week.
