  • hate to admit it but last night........

    we severely missed gavin mahon

we lacked his no nonsense play and his defensive abilty.
he does bring something to the team which is unknown to me and a lot of us
i supported qpr in the glory days when chris kiwomya and michael ngonge played up front

We definately needed a leader out there and someone needed to stop us (mainly Faurlin) being too adventurous and getting caught out for it. Several times the easy ball was ignored for an over ambitious one that got intercepted and set Leicester on the attack. Simple short passing is what has been sucessful for us and last night we stopped doing it.
    RIP: Doug, Sniffer and Pat

Well Mahon, Rowlands and Watson all out, we tried to put leightrwood in that role but he failed and was quickly put to right back.

Well yea and ahead of Mahon, we missed Rowlands and Watson! Unfortunate to have 3 central midfielders out like that bu the good news is the best of the bunch is back for our next game which just so happens to be against his old team!

          Why was Mahon not playing?

We needed some steel in the middle against Leicester. They bullied us in midfield and ran the show largely because they out muscled us.

Took a knock in training apparently.
Hope he is fit for Tuesday -- don't think I can ever bear to watch Legs in CM again.
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

exploited our non existent midfield defensively, attacking is great but you need a spine defensively in the centre of midfield
