i agree that nearly all the anti chelsea dont help our players but the stick the blue flag up your #### i think hepls the players as its became almost iconic and its a song thats been sung for as long as i can remember supporting the club

Stanley - exactly right. Great that the Q/P block make lots of noise, nobody is denying that. Pathetic when they sing about AIDS and 'let him die' and other brain-dead stuff. Those songs won't help players at all.

One thing I'll add...I never have sung the Drogba song, nor any chant of a similar nature but I do sing about hating Chelsea and will continue to do so. I couldn't give a monkeys what you think of me for it. I hate them and I hate Palace. Nothing will change that and I don't need to justify myself for my feelings towards those teams. They may think we're insignificant but that only makes me hate them more. I'm not a nasty or violent person and I'm very well natured, but there is a fire that burns within when I even think of those two teams. Regardless of their feelings towards us, I can't stand them. I have many mates who support these teams, so I'm not pathetic enough to disown someone for supporting them, but I still hate their teams. Those very same fans take the p**s out of us by reffering to us as a small team...a jibe that only reitterates my hatered for them.

Does it make me a bad person?

I don't care if you think it does. I'll still sing it on Tuesday.

Benny and Pete. You didnt actually answer the posters question - I dont think he's having a pop; merely asking how singing anti-chelsea songs help OUR players? Are you saying it does purely by virtue that its a noise, regardless of lyrical content?

Of course it helps. It helps because it creates an atmousphere. It helps because it smacks of passion. That passion can have an effect on the players. We're the 12th man and it doesn't matter whether we sing anti-Chelsea songs or about the White Pele...

Look at the Kop at Luckypool...plenty of anti-manure songs which when sung in full voice makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. Even hearing the opposition sing fills me with excitement at times. Leeds away...marching on forever...brilliant atmousphere.

As said, if you don't like the anti-Chelsea songs...sing something else. Many won't though. Many prefer not to make a noise unless it's to #### off Mahon or Ramage. Anti-Chelsea or anti-QPR??? I think I know which has the more helpful effect on the team.

Songs about John Terry's mum are for 4 year olds, frankly. I am not saying to anyone don't sing anti-Chelsea songs sometimes, and i have no right to tell anyone that anyway, but why not make up some actually decent ones, and secondly sing less of them because they don't help, in my opinion.

Some are brought up to be racist...some to hate meat...I was taught to hate Chelsea and that's how it is. I'm a man now and sure...I could change, but I won't. Because being in a minority as a QPR fan all my life I was given stick all the time. Chelsea fans now laugh at us. That angers me all the more.

As for Palace...there is a lot of history there for me. I won't explain it on here as it will only give people the wrong perception of me. Not a pretty story basically and my hatred grows on a seasonal basis, everytime I walk past that place.

Cheers mate. I never experienced anything similar as a kid, so I appreciate the candidness. For me supporting QPR growing up in Willesden Green and Kilburn was considered fairly cool.

I hear you mate, but we really do. Pete gets so much stick for things but what many don't realise is that he has an exceptional tallent for inventing songs. Some good, some bad. I've had countless taxi journeys from Chelsea to the bush where with a massive smile on his face he's singing his latest creation to me. Me and him then try our very best to get them going and you'll never understand how hard it is to get people to join in. We've got one for Cook, Rowlands, Stewart, Routledge, Taarabt...the list goes on. We sing them, no one joins in. Back to anti-Chelsea it is then.

Ah I didn't realise, which I guess is indicative of the problem... mmmm... Is there anything that can be done to help this? Have you got them songs up on here somewhere, if so can you highlight them? Maybe one game at a time get some people to learn one of the songs?

We've posted them up many a time mate. I just doesn't work. I think we actually had a stickied thread with all the songs we make up but you could see by the amount of times it was openned that there wasn't much interest. I'll do another soon, but it'll be a poiness excercise.

I actually think both songs are pretty funny if sung when playing Chelsea.

What I find more annoying is songs about being inbred if your from up north or the size & noise of the away fans support which are sung pretty much every game.

Reagrding the cut on the keepers face, not sure anyone noticed it . Must admit, it looked like he was wasting time, I only noticedc the cut when watching the game again.
