It's well known that the English game is played at a faster pace and often more physical than most other countries.
A good example would be Louis Saha. It's often forgotten that he played for Newcastle as a youngster but couldn't adapt to the league first time round. He went back to France for a season then signed for Fulham. Having learnt from his first spell in England he started scoring for Fulham and the rest is history.
From what I've seen and heard of Faurlin he seems like a real prospect with genuine talent. I think he may have struggled on Friday as result of playing alongside Legs, who for all his qualities is not the best with the ball at his feet.
Faurlin probably needs a central midfield partnership with somebody with a better range of passing (i.e Watson or Rowlands). What I saw from Faurlin on Friday was a lad who was desperate to play the killer ball every time and was frequently getting is wrong. With Watson alongside him he may have been more inclined to take the easy option, play it short and keep possession.
As for him being "not good enough" and "will only last 18 months". I suppose only time will tell but what we don't need is for fans to make knee jerk reactions after 1 bad performance and to start getting on players backs!

Im glad we arnt on sky again for a while, allways a pain!
To be honest though, ive had it with Ramage, if he turns things around then i will say i was wrong, but he is shocking and would look poor in a league 1 side, he just isnt good enough for us and we cant afford to carry him anymore.....deadweight.Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...

Again harsh on Faurlin yes there were plenty of misplaced passes, but for 60 minutes he had a partner playing in no mans land and only ever offering a square pass at best, for the remaining 30 he had Buzz and they were chasing the game and looking far too oftten and early for the defence splitting pass. I don't think it should go unrecognised that Faurlins best performances have been playing alongside Mahon

Our problem is that we see a good game and expect it every week. We don't give players a chance...EVER!!!
Is this how we'll treat our youth team players when they make an inexperienced mistake? Rahim Sterling is likely to feature soon if we managed to ward off the big boys and at 15 I only hope you don't expect everything at once. By all accounts, Christiano Ronaldo was pretty poor at United at 1st. I guess that was a mistake giving him a chance too?Your mum would love me...
