As those of you know me will be aware, I'm over in Dubai and having a mare keeping up with games.........last night was no exception!!!!
I was at a party with my girlfriend and to be honest, the party was pants. It got near to kick off and I started dropping not too subtle hints about wanting to go home to watch the match. At about midnight (we are 4 hours in front) and she finally gave in and agreed to come home to watch the game.
Got back and found a stream on Iraq goals, we were winning 1-0 at this point. Then the stream started to freeze so I got the hump and dragged her out to a bar on the other side of town which I knew was showing the game. Got there just in time for the 2nd half.
Can't believe how sh*te we were following our recent run of form. Needless to say, as her 1st experience of QPR, my girlfriend is a little bit bemused at to what the fuss is all about.
I'm slightly concerned that I may have jinxed us as it all seemed to go pear shaped the minute I started watching!
