  • The Omens were there....

    .......or call it sods law.

Two midweek games in the same week for Leicester should have given us the edge in the fitness stakes.Leicester second best to Reading even though they won 1-0.Reading,a team we beat 4-1 only a week earlier.Leicester won only 2 games away before last night - 5 other teams had taken points off them when they played away. They stayed at a Heathrow hotel Thursday night and got caught up in traffic on the M4 on their way to LR before the game, and arrived with just an hour to spare before kick off.Their trainer had to rush their team sheet to the ref.We were scoring for fun up until last nights fiasco.Considering the fore-going Leicester could be excused for putting in an indifferent performance, but they were brilliant.Whats our excuse ??Add to this news again yesterday that we are considering taking Nathan Ellington off Watford's hands to solve our striker problem .FFS hope there's no truth in that. Please don't say this is the limit of our ambition and our search for a striker to partner Simpson.

Bit like the day Mickey Adams had to stick the Coventry team on the tube and walk them up to LR from the tube station, and then they promptly annihilated us.
Plans going astray seem to galvanise teams.
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

The King family have to take the blame, especially my eldest. He joined the Army and his last game before basic traing was Peterborough and his first game for 7 weeks was last night. He goes back on Sunday so we will be OK on Tuesday and untill Christmas.
      RIP: Doug, Sniffer and Pat

I also heard the Ellington rumor from someone at the game! He did used to be a very good striker at this level, but hasn't scored much for a few seasons.

Nathan Levi Fontaine Ellington - yes that is his full name. Not the biggest at 5'10",had a promising early career with Bristol Rovers and Wigan up to 2005,but its been all downhill since, averaging 1 goal every 4.5 games for WBA 05-07,1 in 8 for Watford only 5 in 41 in 07 and 1 in 9 on loan to Derby 3 in 27 in 08-09.Surely we could do better.
