Did you ever see Waddock play?, just like Ainsworth he was 100% commited to the cause.

They have both been great servants for this club, who is better dosen't really matter.

I agree with the post regarding a testimonial for Gareth, but I don't think he qualifies until 2013, 10 years after he joined.
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

That's a joke Scott. Did you ever see Waddock play? His coaching record far exceeds Ainsworth too

Man Utd were in the process of putting in a British record bid for him the week before he did his knee ligaments. Atkinson has mentioned it a couple of times and Jim Smith also

Waddock was a fantastic player and far superior to Gaz although I have the untmost repsect for gaz who is a true professional and the decision should be left to him.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Difficult to know what to do with Ainsworth.

I personally still feel he would be useful coming off the bench. But maybe give them him on loan till the end of the season, and then him come back to QPR in a coaching role?

Depends on what he wants to do really.

                        YEAH

YEAH if you check ainsies wikipedia...........he scored lots of goals and played brilliant for lincoln and prestonbut it seems as though his whole career went to pieces at wimbledone where he only player 36 times in five season scoreing
                        only 6 goals
he then goes to cardiff and only played 9 times so qpr was where he resurects his career
actually i think if ainsy had not have made that wimbledon move he may be much more highly thought off but its still difficult to imagine somebody better than waddock at what he does but i think watson will be better than waddock

No offence meant, but i think that's just blind loyalty as opposed to common sense.

Assume players come back to fitness, we will have the likes of Cook and Epthraim chomping on the bit to get into the side, plus if we do get a second out and out striker in Jan to play with Simpson, then either Buz or Taraabt you would assume would end up on the bench....

I would also have Alberti ahead of him and let's not forget mahon/ watson will be on the bench, and if either came on it allows movement of players in the midfield if something isn't working on the pitch.

There is no logical place for him. Let him go and prolong his playing career and good luck to him, thanks for his efforts etc, but we need to draw a line under him and move onwards and upwards.

An almost expected response from a buffoon who has supported Rangers a little while
Waddock is a Rangers legend, to badmouth him is treason, off with Jonesys neck!!!!!!!!!!!!

                              Oh dear Scottyboy...

I guess you never had the pleasure of seeing Waddock play. And can you tell us exactly what it is that Ains has achieved as a manager???

Congrats on winning most rediculous post of the year though.
A message to the other Premier League clubs when they visit Loftus Road.....

                              "NUESTRA GLORIA, VUESTRO INFIERNO"

(If you don't understand it, then learn Spanish. It is the language of world football.....)

Ainsworth is Top Man... and was fantastic for us just when we needed him.

But when ANY current QPR player does the business at the top level of football, ie: Top end of the Premier League, Europe, Internationals and Cup Finals... then it's fair to compare them with Gary Waddock.

When/if that happens, we can debate who's a better player than he was for QPR. Ask Terry Venables.

As a manager? Wrong job, wrong time for him and QPR... but performed miracles at Aldershot, in a league that is not easy to play good football in, and get out of.
                                Ask Mick Harford.

You might have guessed - but I like Gary Waddock.
