PS I won 2 tickets in Gazette competition so that will be two more from Middlesex there!

I am pleased that the gate looks like being more than 15,000, it will look better on TV.

However, before we get carried away at how great it is, perhaps we should consider the following.

If QPR are giving away 2000 tickets to schools, it means they would have only sold around 13-14,000 tickets (many of these for a tenner).

How many CCC sell more than 14,000?

Unless other clubs do the same, I think that there are at least 13 other clubs that out sell QPR.

Newcastle, Derby, Middlesbro, Sheffs U & W, West Brom, Ipswich, Forest, Coventry, Cardiff, Leicester, Reading & Palace.

Thank you, that was one of the points i was trying to get across.

I'm happy as everyone else that we are going to get a decent gate, the players deserve to play in front of a good crowd, but i'm not getting carried away with it cos we will prob go back to 11000 gates after tuesday, which is sad.

Just went and bought my ticket in SA Road (Gold). There aren't that many left from what I could see and there were about 7 fans buying tickets whilst I was there.

So it will be a decent sized crowd.

It seems that QPR will need to do this more often - another promotion for Palace - so it makes me wonder, why they don't just offer fans the chance to buy STs at reduced prices and offer some refunds to those who already purchased one at the full price.

It will save all the hassle plus the cost of adevertising not to mention provide the club with guaranteed funds. Or are they hoping that if QPR keep on improving and get into the top 2, that fans will just flock to the ground withouth any more promotions?

Everyone I know seems to have bought some season ticket guest for a tenner tickets. I've bought 5 myself, 2 fans who see maybe 5 games a year and 3 ex season ticket holders. Just hope the R's play like the last few home games. Makes me think that if we had not seen such price rises we would be rocking down the bush every week:shocked:

doubt the club would have given 2,000 tickets away as skysports will take up half the upper school end for there little cardboard box.
