i don't think I would, Mahon has been excellent cover, as Rowlands and Watson have been out he has really saved our bacon in the midfield.

I would keep him until the end of the season, maybe offer S****horpe a little bit more £££ instead.

HH to start off with , Alberti, Ainsworth and Ageyman could be offered as part of the deal.

Mahon will be vital this season, is in great form and is a real leader we need that kind of character and would hate to see him leave.

I'd be amazed if the deal was 100% reliant on Mahon.

        Lets wait and see.
Have to agree 100% on that, Mahon has been great when required this season and still has a lot to offer to the team.

Depends on whether Watson signs a longer deal. QPR have other alternatives in Faurlin & Liegertwood, but Mahon has impressed in his apps this seaso.

But I agree, about trying to offer them more money or another player i.e HH or PA to see if that helps.

But if push comes to shove, as long as Watson stays, I would let him go, because Hooper or another striker is needed.

              I don't see Mahon as "dead-wood".
Lovely phrase to use about our captain and goalscorer at Derby.

              QPR fans, eh?? :waaaht:

I'd rather bring Simpson here as we know he fits in well.

Didn't the Chairman of S****horpe say they had not had a bid from us for Hooper and they did not want Mahon ?

Routledge and Taarabt can still crack on, as can Buzz with Faurlin holding it together. Or we keep Mahon and He can play instead of Faurlin as Buzz can orchastrate the movement.

In my view we need a more experienced striker than Hooper. Even Beckford. In addition to that This season we seem to get the very best out of Mahon. So to draw aconclusion; dont sell our "Anchor" in a very promising start of the season.

You can't have everyone, but in fairness...I completely forgot about Watson...schoolboy error :embarrased:

Watson in for Faurlin would work too. Plenty of options.

                                Ignore oldhoop, he's...well...old
