Either of those would do. But do we want yet another loanee? Our squad is going to look a little thin come the end of season with all these non contracted players returning to their parent clubs!!!

So let me be the first to state the bleeding obvious - sign on a perm Hooper and/or Beckford!!!!!

      Macheda or Welbeck?

They are too similar to Simpson and he's proving many wrong on his scoring ability so I'd rather him.

      I'd go with...

      Kamara
      King
      Hooper
      Beckford

      Watson on a Perm

      Tommy Spurr

      Tom Heaton on a Perm

That would be all we need (only two from the strikers in fairness)

Macheda and wellbeck too similar to Simpson? Don't agree!!! With our "new" system any combo of those could/would work with Routledge, Faurlin, Buzz, Taarabt, Watson/Mahon, Ephraim, Cook or Balanta operating around them.

It's like saying that Anelka and Drogba are too similar, that partnership seems to work OK!!!

          Ok... good question.

Some might have varied opinions on what is "realistic". So I'll keep the level as low as possible.
Other than the loan signings we have - (who I would like to keep all of):

          Gary Hooper.
Marlon King (depending on court case!)
          Chris Armstrong (Reading left back)
          Armand Traore, (Arsenal's 3rd choice Left-back)

            Are you drunk?

            Like comparing Drogba and Anelka?

Maybe I'm wrong on Macheda as I have only seen him a couple of times, but Welbeck is pretty much exactly the same player from what he offers as well as the #### he's able to play out wide. There was a time I'd loved to have Welbeck here, but now we have Simpson I'd be disapointed that we haven't gone for either a big goal scoring lump like King or a poacher like Hooper.

Yep Simpson seems to have really struggled with Routledge up front with him the last few games!!!!! He couldn't possibly do ther business with Wellbeck or Macheda!!!!!!

Sometimes I do wonder about peoples lack of football nouse! Can only assumed they have never played!!

No I am not drunk BennyBoys just stating my opinion (like you)

A poacher like Hooper and cover/options in the full back positions. We are doing well at present because injuries and suspensions are not disrupting the team too much due to our depth but an injury at full back could cause big problems. I would also like to see us sign someone with some height up front like Stead (or hopefully better), who is also handy on the ground. If only we could unearth another Les, his speed and aerial ability would be the icing on the cake to our current team.
                RIP: Doug, Sniffer and Pat

So you'd drop Routledge for Welbeck?

If not, what's the need for him?

                  Football nouse??? Brilliant.

Benny I think tis you that has been at the Old Speckled falling down juice!!!!

I did not say i would drop Wazza (are you sure?) that was a very clumsy attempt to put words in my mouth, but may I just point out that not all 11 players are available every week (you may not know that) and we currently play a "fluid" system (ask Pete to expalin) and it would be great to increase our strength in depth (that means cover for injuries and suspensions!)

Don't you think we need an extra striker then?

I know he missed a few chances against us, but i consider Rob Hulse on his day the most dangerous center forward in the championship, and he's in a shoite team.

Anyone know how old he is and when his contract is up for Derby.
                      They seek him here.................

hooper, spurr - even tho spurr would cost too much i feel hooper is v realistic and a great addition. i dont know many other left backs atm.. maybe get gibbs on loan from arsenal?

heaton, watson, simpson, taarabt(sign all four perm)
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
                        Lovejoy: "No?!"

Brilliant reply yet again seeing that I've named no less than 4 strikers I'd take...Only 2 needed IMO but when you have strikers like King and Hooper who would add more than Welbeck to our current setup, again I ask...What's the point?

Buzz and Ephraim can both play where Routledge does, so problem solved. As I say, I'm a fan of Danny's, but not so much now we have Jay. So without being patronising and making yourself seem like the fountain of all footballing knowledge, tell me where Welbeck can fit in as a better option than a poacher or a target man (Hooper and King)?!

Good shout and I may be wrong but hasen't he only just signed with them?

Would cost a fair bit seeing as he's their man man.
