  • The Effect of "Protests"

Not long ago some were adovocating protests against the board, if they had taken place what effect would they have regards our rise up the league table??

Lets not get carried away Pete. This may not last and we could be bottom half again before you know it.

Pete, please, lets not go there. Keep it positive.
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

All decisions in life are relevant to time!!!

What seemed like a good idea a few months ago is not appropriate now.

There is no doubt that just like in any situation performance overcomes critisism!!!

So let's hope we don't go down the "sack the board" route again for a long time (although all is still not right "upstairs"):chill:

Hmmm. And some were screaming for Magilton NOT to get the job.... Pete?
....what effect would that have regards our rise up the league table??
            etc..

            Point is:
People have opinions at the time, and digging them out a few weeks later is a very easy thing to do.
And maybe some of those opinions about the owners still stand, and those people that share them are not so shallow as to ditch them because we've had a good month on the pitch?

It's so easy to dig up posts that make someone look silly a few weeks later.
Lose a few games, and all of a sudden, the tables turn again.

All very pointless, and a bit silly.

(I didn't want Magilton, or protests... but that's not my point).

I think(my opinion) is that peoples anger towards the club was about price rises etc which i feel are still in people's minds.

despite the fact we are playing better, crowd attendances have not increased that much.

On the pitch - is the fact that we are doing better down to fact that Jim "appears" to be managing the side and not getting help from board members...?

Big difference from expressing an opinion about a manager of the club, not being a so called big name and being proved wrong. I'd admit that.

Would like to see the few advocating protests to do the same. now that would be good wouldn't it??

Opinions on managers before they start is part and parcel, I'd say potentially damaging the future of the club, is a completely different ball game. Though, the ones that done are bound to disagree. Can't see hy personally.

Leave it be! Im sure the people who said all that stuff know who they are.

But that decision to appoint Magilton has proved plenty wrong (so far).
The opinions that people have about GP/FB are just that - OPINIONS.

And are just as valid, and just as easy to dig out at the moment in order to prove some kind of point a few weeks down the line.
See how things turn out after all the court cases, and at the end of the season, that's fair enough.

                    Points scoring, using hindsight.
Can just as easily swing the other way if results take a dip... and that would be just as pointless and cheap.

No need for it, and no point in it.... other than to wind people up and start old arguments up again.

Pete - The tide turned away at Cardiff, which surprisingly was the exact same time Flavio went into hiding, for doing nothing wrong.

Think its fair to say, he lets the team get on with it when we are winning.

Lets hope he concerns himself with his MRS, who is having a baby.

Completely agree Pete, i believe it would have a negative affect.

Are we not still on course for the four year plan??

We should leave it to the experts. By all means have an opinion but not to the extent that some on here suggest.

Incidentally i have £50 bet that QPR will be in the champions league by 2013
                            :amazing:

Everyone's a farkin genius in hindsight Pete.

You might have even got a prediction right this season if you were allowed to go back 6 weeks and change your mind.
