I know your not into running but I hope your putting in the miles and training. Marathons need to be taken very serious indeed. Asics are a nice light running shoe but as u will be pounded the streets I would recommend Mizuno's. Something like the wave rider but they have many new brands of this shoe. They cost between 50-110 depending on which years model. Good luck and a great charity!
Kinsei 3s are out 1st November over here. I pick up my pair from NYC on Weds night. A lot lkighter than the Kinsei 2s, which were a couple of ounces over a perfect weight.
