I dont think theres any chance of getting Taarabt for 3m would think more 4-5 and would be suprised to pick up Beckford for less than 2-3 just because come January theres more than likely to be a tug of war for him between several clubs.

The most we should pay for Simpson, Taraabt and Watson is £7m. Anything less than that figure is good business. Heaton or similar age/type keeper is less than £1m, first choice left back in the Championship is £1m-£1.5m and another striker will be no more than £2m tops.

Having said that all of the players we bring in come January will have to be good enough to play top end Championship/lower end Premiership football. There is no point bringing Beckford, Jackson, Barnard etc if we don't think they are good enough to play for either a top six side or a team with Premiership aspirations.

                The Beckford obsession keeps rolling.
