  • Will the Board invest?

Like everyone else, absolutely buzzing at the way the lads are playing under Jim/John.

Just wondered how we'll progress in the run in if we dont maintain the existing squad (Simpson, Adel, Watson, Heaton) or add the cover we desperately need in other areas (LB/CF).

If we were serious, and bought the players we have on loan, thats a good £8m of talent alone. A decent striker and a cover LB, add another £4m. Thats some serious money to invest if we're going to take this challenge on.

Does the Board, in its current structure, have the appetite and funds to support this?

guess some of the loans can remain on loan. we are being told the board are talking abotu £5m or so spending.

Much of that is dependent on going up.

Simpson and Tarrabt are here to end of season. Guessing Simpson would be easier to buy (with clause Arsenal have first refusal on any future sale). If we go up, we would have an excellent chance of buying Tarrabt

This January, I'm pretty certain 2.5 million will secure Watson. We will probably get 1 or maybe 2 strikers, one of them has a contract up in the summer so will not cost alot.

Okay, we need cover/another left back but they don't cost the earth.

We've managed to be in this position without really spending millions and with clever additions in January suspect it will be the same. Guess, 4-5 million will easily do the job.

If we are, and i think we will be, in the top 6 come January - investment should be a must.

We have a squad here at last that looks like challenging for top spot in a very tight league. This is the best QPR have looked on the pitch in ages but we must not sit on what we have and should seek to improve in certain areas to make a serious bid for auto promotion.Something i thought would not be possible at beginning of season.

A big well done to Jim and i assume John for making us look like a decent side at last !

100% Agree, we looked a different side last night when Simpson and Adel went off.
I would love to see a full house for the Leicester game, that would show the board how much we appreciate the football been played at the moment which might help persuade them to get the cheque books out.

Mackail-Smith looks to be a very good player, who could fit into jims team as a striker.
                              They seek him here.................
