Dex you spouted the very same comment in another thread only yesterday... do you really need to start another one.

So ok, as per the question in that one, who would you drop out of Simpson, Buz or Routledge to accomodate this unproven player who would cost too much and has a bad attitude...? To drop any of them would be ridiculous.

      yeah

del i would love us to be in the same situation as when gerry francis managed us in the prem he had ferdinand, penrice, bailey plus devon white all fighting for two positions

and as q block pete will tell you, I will tell gianni personally to go for beckford
WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT DELL WE ARE STILL IN A POSITION THAT IF SIMPSON GETS INJURED WE do not have back up ayegemang and vine are not good enough they are too inconsistant

If the price is realistic, ie not £3m or anything close, i would be happy for him to come as a squad player and fight for a place as he definiteley COULD be excellent, but too many people are suggesting he should be bought and become a definite starter.

Pellicori, Helguson, Agyemang. But you are right I wouldn't spend £3m on him.

If he is better than the three mentioned above then it would be a great addition but he's not proven at this level.

To be fair, he might be better than the 3 mentioned.

Just think maybe better value elsewhere.

I would not be surprised if each one of those 3 get us vital goals between now and May. I think we should learn the lessons of writing off our own players.

You might be right but would any of them provide vital goals over a sustained period of time if we have injuries to key players?

                    well

well talking of writing off our own players do we forget ainsworth is a brave and very able striker why dont we give ainsy a try as striker even to come on in the last 20 mins,i think ains should not be thrown on the scrapheap just because of his age

Beckford has a worse goalscoring record in L1 than Fredy Eastwood or Billy Sharp both of whom went for less than the £3m Leeds want.....

                      nowhere near worth it

This morning while getting the Sunday papers I got talking to our new village shop owner who is a Northampton Town fan. We got talking about the game of football (QPR and Northampton) then we both spoke about how many Leeds fans we had in the village. To cut a long story short his best mate is the gaffa at Wealdstone and said he sold Beckford to Leeds only days before he was going to go to Newcastle. His mate reckoned that Beckford has a very big chip on his shoulder and his background is grim to say the least. He also said that any team wishing to take on his services would be well advised to steer clear as he is a bad influence in the dressing room.

                            :what::what::what:

Honestly, nothing you write surprises me anymore. Ainsworth lived off two admittedly stunning strikes against Rushden or whoever it was for years and for the most part since hit the upper tier with about as much composure as Jack the ripper with a knife and a prostitute..... A striker he ain't!

Ainsworth should be put out to pasture ASAP IMO,waste of wages.
